- LRLaura Rakowski-ColeSep 8, 20264.0I grew up in Jackson and had no idea that this place existed! I needed some pithos crabs for my saltwater tank and called ahead to make sure they had them in stock. They did. I drove 45 minutes to the store. On the outside, it presents as a very small building with a very small area to park your vehicle. The lot was in need of concrete work and adjacent to the Burger King. When you walk inside, you are amazed at how many animals are in there! Fresh and saltwater tanks, birds, corals, plants and small creatures too. A cat freely roamed the store. The store is quite cramped inside and there are narrow aisles in which you can walk. It is necessary to bend down to view items in many of the tanks. The people working there were very helpful. It is a great place to get fish, coral and the saltwater clean up crew. The creatures and animals looked very healthy. I didn't have time to really look around the store to see all that they had inside. The pithos were put in my tank and were seen that night eating but I haven't seen them since. I'm hoping that they are still alive in the tank as they were acclimated as necessary. It's nice to know this place is available if my LFS in Lansing is out of certain things I need.
