  I am so disappointed to leave a negative review but It has to be said. The first apt in February for grooming services I was already a little put off because the person at the counter was timid of my dog. We had her DNA done and she is half pit and has that pit face. Shes also part cane corso and engkish mastiff. Shes a wrinkly and scary looking dog, Inknow but she is a gentle giant. She said she had to make sure the dog was comfortable with the groomer (totally get it) but made a comment about my girl because she said "she seemed defensive" the groomer took her back and when I picked her up they said "she actually did really good!" Yeah no kidding... I took here for grooming again this week and I realized I scheduled the wrong location. I asked if they had time to take her and the receptionist yelled "dobyou have time for a pit bull!?" Again my sensors went off but whatever.. she said yes and they took her back. I shopped for my girl and left. As soon as I turned the corner I got a call that "they did the nail trim but couldn't do the bath because she wouldnt go in the kennel and was "showing teeth" I said im sorry she was what? My dog would run away if I was being attacked and has never shown teeth or growled in the 4 years I have had her. I went back and the man holding her asked if this was my dog. I said yes and he explained what happened and that "she was tucking her tail hard" and "looking defensive laying down refusing to go in the kennel and showed teeth to my manager and it might just be the day but we could try another day but if it happened again we will have to refer out" i explained that my husband is 6'5 and she knows he is alpha and cowars to him and hates baths. I have to oick her 80lb butt uo and carry her to the tub and she PLANTS IT knowing when its bath time. When i got there he said "well shes ok now but she wasnt" Thats when he explained she "showed teeth" I get these people dont know my dog but I explained and I feel especially at 9 and gratiot they deal with a lot of pits and my dog isnt even full pit and I 100% feel this was more fear than action. Again my dog has NEVER and would never. Super disappointed at the stereotype that was presented and acted on.

  I went get some cat food and when I checked out I still didn’t have any rewards at petsmart I always get points that why I only go if I need food right away

  Well, well Took my dog to get groomed at this establishment yesterday. Left a $10 tip for the groomer. Find out one of the groomers nicked my baby 2 times, didn’t say anything! Me thinking my baby was mad at me, because he stayed a little longer, because Petco groomer had an old number on file. But previous called my number 🤷🏽‍♂️ Next time I would go over him before, I tip. I want my tip back. That was unacceptable 🥹

  ⭐️ 1 Star After spending a whopping $160 on a Mother’s Day gift purchase, I expected much better customer service. I called Petco twice regarding information about my purchase and spoke with Sharon both times. Unfortunately, her attitude on both calls was extremely unpleasant. Her tone of voice sounded completely uninterested, unwelcoming, and honestly just dead, which made the experience frustrating and uncomfortable. Customer service should make customers feel valued, especially after spending that kind of money. The interaction honestly made me not even want to return to this location for my exchange.

  I didn't realize the staff at 9 mile and Gratiot felt free to make snide comments about how you take care of your pet. I had a staff member comment on how skinny my dog was, insinuating that I did not feed my dog enough. She made sure to give my dog a treat commenting on how hungry she must be! Then as we were checking out, she made another rude comment about how my dog should be on a harness instead of a regular leash. I left feeling like a horrible pet owner! What the staff member did not know was that when I RESCUED this dog you could see every bone in her body (she has put on 10 lbs), was covered in fleas and was shitting worms.. so thank you PETCO STAFF for rushing to judgement and insulting your customers.. I will never shop there again!
