I have to give a big shout-out and huge thank you to Megan, Maize Mooz and Dog Watch for helping us train our Westley, we are forever grateful!!! This summer, my teenage daughter used her own money to rescue a dog. He was 8 weeks old when she brought him home. I have never been a big dog person, and I was really scared about trying to raise one, especially with having a 10 year old chug at home. My daughter was told he was going to be a midsized dog. We started with getting a Hidden Fence. It was awesome, Westley was quickly trained and safe outside. However, this guy grew quickly, becoming bigger and stronger by the day. I was panicking, thinking there was no way this was going to work out. We couldn't walk into a room without him jumping on us or biting us. We were afraid to have people over because we didn't want anyone to get hurt. We couldn't even take him on walks anymore because he was jumping at Shadow and pulling us around. I even started asking around to see if someone would be able to take him. I felt horrible, my daughter loved him, but we all feared him... then we found out that Megan also offered obedience training. Megan came to our house and worked with not only my daughter but our whole family. She taught all of us how to give commands, how to correct, interact, and help meet the needs of our Westley. She brought items from the store, like toys (the Flirt Stick was a favorite), treats, leashes, collars, a side walker, and e-collar. It was awesome. She taught us how to use the items, and we could see what worked for Westley and purchase them right then and there. After our training sessions, I can honestly say we are now a Big Dog family. I can walk into the kitchen and cook without Westley jumping and biting. My family can now eat dinner at the kitchen table with Westley nearby. Our little dog, Shadow, can now walk around the house and not have to worry where Westley is. They can go outside together, and not only can Westley walk nicely on leash now, but we can bring Shadow along at the same time. The best part is that we can all sit down on the couch and watch TV, and of course, Westley is right there with us. Needless to say, thanks to Megan Westley, will be with us forever. Her trainings were life changing for all of us. Thank you, Megan, Maize Mooz and Dog Watch, for making this all possible!!!
