Our precious cat (fur-baby) of 9 years old hadn’t been eating or drinking for several days. While we kept a close eye on him, we decided to make an appointment online with their scheduler due to the severity of the situation, making this an emergency. Upon getting up early, getting the kids ready, and our pet ready to leave for the appointment, I had a call come in, right as we’re about to walk out the door for the appointment. A lady from Banfield had called me, stated they were double booked. How with an online scheduler I asked? I don’t know, it just happened. Yes, I use to work the IT field. Intuition told me they had another pet come in and decided to blow us off, asking if we could schedule for tomorrow. I said ma’am, we waited and our pet became too Ill to wait, hence us making this appointment. I explained the kids and I woke early, have the pet ready, and about to walk out the door. I stated no, we can’t wait until tomorrow or I would have waited to make the appointment for tomorrow. She had an attitude and said, “Fine, we’ll see you @9a but you’ll be waiting.” I said how long? She still had the attitude and said, “I don’t know, 30, 45, however minutes it takes us to get to you.” I thought wow, according to their site, all pets matter! Yep, not here!! I called my wife at work and told her what I experienced. She gave me another number to call for a place closer. I’m extremely glad we didn’t go to this horrible place. Rude staff, not a care in the world, and can’t honor their appointment times. After going to paws on Washtenaw Ave. , I’m extremely glad we did!! Excellent staff!! Took us right in. Our pet, we had found out that our fur baby has an enlarged heart. Stage 5-6, as 6 is the worst. If we would have waited until this place wanted to push us off to, he wouldn’t have survived. I’ll never go to this place ever, nor give any money to them. After dealing with the extremely rude staff, and 🙄 double booking issues, this place is horrible in me and my family’s eyes. If you care about your pet and your pet is family, I can tell this place does not care about you or your pet. Go to Paws on Washtenaw Rd., in Ypsilanti MI. Steer clear of this place. If your family member was very ill, would you go to a place that calls 20 min before appointment asking you to come in tomorrow? Well, that’s what happened here. Banfield’s staff has shown their true colors today, and that was enough for me to write this horrible review to warn others to find somewhere where your family member pet will be treated with respect and cared for. I hope the staff here gets better training, and learns to change their horrible ways. It’s bad for business, and really hurt knowing where I thought my family member was going to be safe. It’s just sad that we had to find out the hard way. I don’t wish this upon anyone or any pet. I’ll pray four them to change their ways. So much for a good first time impression. Banfield is lucky Google doesn’t offer negative stars. This place gets 1 star, because at least they called. 🙄

I’ve been bringing my puppy to Banfield Pet Hospital for about four years now, and it’s by far the best vet experience I’ve had. As a first-time dog owner, I get really anxious about my dog, but Tiffany has been absolutely amazing. She’s so patient, lets me call multiple times a day if I need to, and always takes the time to talk me through everything.
She genuinely cares—not just about Milo, but about me too—and that means so much. If you’re looking for a vet you can truly trust, especially if you tend to worry or feel overwhelmed, I highly recommend Banfield.
