Staff does’t ask necessarily questions during scheduling to ensure the appointment can be completed. Wasted a lot of time with this place.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at Petco Grooming\. My appointment was scheduled for 11:45 a\.m\., and I arrived at 11:51—only six minutes late\. As I was walking in, the groomer sent me a message saying that I had missed my appointment\. When I tried to explain that I was only six minutes late and believed there was a ten\-minute grace period, he repeatedly talked over me and refused to listen\. I asked for the manager, and she confirmed that I had arrived within the ten\-minute window and said they could still take my dog\. However, the groomer clearly did not want to provide the service\. After the manager approved the appointment, he briefly touched my dog’s coat and suddenly claimed she was too matted and that he had another client afterward\. I had already noted in the appointment comments that her hair was slightly tangled\. She has been groomed at this same location every two to three weeks for years, with the same hair length and condition, and it has never been a problem\. I even offered to pay extra, wait longer, let him take his next client first, or return later because I was not in a rush\. No effort was made to accommodate me\. The situation felt as though another reason was being used to refuse the appointment after the manager said I could be seen\. I understand that being on time is important, and I apologized for arriving six minutes late, but the groomer’s dismissive attitude, constant interruptions, and unwillingness to find a solution were completely unprofessional\. The entire situation could have been handled with much better communication and customer service, especially for a loyal customer who has been coming to this location for years\.
