  Love the Allen Park Petco store! It’s very convenient and has great hours. They almost always have the products we’re looking for. But they always try and tempt me to buy birds and ferrets and rescue kitties which is probably not a good thing cause I want all the pets.! Also, the employees are extremely helpful and intelligent.

  I had a very disappointing experience with the grooming department. The Grooming Manager, Kierstan Li, stated that my dog’s medical conditions were not in the system, but I was able to pull them up on my phone and show that they were documented. That was concerning because medical information should be reviewed carefully before grooming begins. On top of that, my dog was not fully groomed, yet I was still charged for the full service until I spoke with Eddie, the Store Manager, who provided a partial refund. When I got home, my dog’s fur had become matted around her neck because she was not fully dried and brushed out properly after the grooming. The mats were not there before the appointment, and I had to brush them out myself at home. What upset me most was witnessing one of the groomers hit my dog on the head while I was there. I calmly voiced that I was not okay with that treatment, without yelling or using profanity, and was then told that the way I was speaking to employees was “unacceptable.” Instead of addressing my concern about my dog, I felt dismissed for simply advocating for my pet. Overall, the experience left me uncomfortable and disappointed in the professionalism, customer service, and handling of animals in the grooming department.

  Was a loyal customer to Petco (groomer) since day 1 of having our dog (maltipoo). On May 20 a new groomer was welcoming us. An hour later that same groomer called me saying they're was an accident. He cut my dog in his anal. I had to take him to the Vet. Yes Petco paid for his Vet visit but how did this happen?.....What happens now? Who do I talk to? I most definitely will not be taking my dog back to Petco (groomer)
