  I came in 40 minutes before close. I only had one thing to pick up which I found quickly. But when I got to the front there wasn’t any one at the registers. I looked around and saw no one and heard no one. It was 6 minutes before someone showed up. She said she was out back emptying trash. . Seriously?

  I brought my boy Sammy to get his rabies shot I need an appointment wasn't there more than 10 to 15 minutes they were very good with Sammy and pleasant to deal with

  Very frustrating experience. We went to Petco to get hermit crabs, and after explaining that we already had experience keeping them and had a large tank at home, we were told we couldn’t purchase them. The employee brought over a supervisor, who also refused the sale. What made the situation especially frustrating was being told that we needed a hamster wheel for the hermit crabs. no one clearly explained what specific requirement our setup failed to meet. Our tank is significantly larger than the enclosures the hermit crabs were being kept in at the store. I completely understand wanting to make sure animals are going to a suitable home, and I respect responsible animal-sale policies. However, the way this was handled felt unnecessarily dismissive, especially when we were willing to provide more information about our setup. If there are specific requirements for purchasing hermit crabs, they should be clearly explained rather than simply refusing the sale.

  Very disappointed in the service at this Petco. South Portland is the store I usually go to, but I was in the areas so I stopped by to exchange an unopened bag of dog food that has been on auto ship but my dogs good tired of the flavor and stopped eating it during my last bag. Despite being a premium member and having my receipt, they could not figure out how to process my exchange. There was no apology - instead received eye rolls from the cashier. I ended up leaving with my original food, didn’t buy the rest of the stuff I was planning on- and will not be returning to this location.
