  We have been a patient for 8 years and found our experiences with Dr Gernhart very positive. Today I left the vet feeling very negative and upset about the visit. We made an appointment because our dog seemed to be having an issue with steps and also was still not losing weight despite the special food and limited quantities of food. The vet we saw was very nice and found some minor hip discomfort on one side which we got medicine for. She said she would recommend testing blood for some specific things- not a full test and she said it wears not expensive. But it was $188 and almost half the total bill (including food on the bill) . I am very unhappy and feel like I was not given honest information. I’m left wondering if we even got the test that she was talking about or if the lab did a full test despite what she said.

  Fair to good veterinary services, very caring and professional staff. Back office manager is running a 1950s efficiency business, fails to bill correctly and uses snail mail. I was subject to lost invoices in the mail, no follow-up was attempted for over a year, then I needed urgent care and was refused, without the doctor being aware, by the outraged office manager who had failed to perform the most basic diligence on behalf of the practice, the client or the animal. Dismal. I also took an animal in for a broken dew claw, paid around 700 dollars for the service, and found the other claw not clipped when I got home. He promptly broke it in a couple of weeks, doubling the risk to the dog and the profit to the practice. That one is a vet/tech oversight, it's unheard of to subject a patient to general anesthesia for a bilateral overgrown nail problem and ignore the other claw. I would say quality of vet experience slipped dramatically going from 2020 toward 2025. Everyone has to learn.. I learned to protect my dog from this practice.

  I love this animal hospital so so much. My kitties see Dr Stephens, but my problem child needs a lot of emergency fit-ins, so we’ve seen pretty much all of the vets there, and they've all been great! I'm so grateful to have found this place. Everyone from the front desk to the techs have all been such a breath of fresh air since I left my previous private-equity owned vet.

  This hospital really went above and beyond when my dog needed surgery. They showed such care towards my dog Blue that I cannot thank them enough. I really recommend this hospital to anyone.
