  While waiting in line for a return, I met a couple unloading pet supplies. We talked, noting the store was empty and no one else was in line. Chad, the cashier, seemed annoyed when I conversed with them. As they left, Chad waved and rolled his eyes at me, which embarrassed the woman I spoke with. I told him I needed to do a return and found his behavior rude, especially since no one was behind me. He waved his arms and motioned as if I were a child, which I found unacceptable. Chad’s customer service was poor, and I won’t return to the store.

  Had nearly 100 betta fish on display; most of which were visibly very sick. I asked multiple cashiers and the store manager to surrender one to me, but they would not. So, I bought one in hopes of saving him and when I tested his water it had high ammonia and nitrite levels. He would not eat and unfortunately was too sick and died after three days.

  I have been shopping with Petco on a monthly basis for years.On Saturday April 4th, 2026 I purchased an automatic kitty litter box. I brought it home and when I opened the box, I noticed kitty litter residue on the product. I returned to the store on Sunday to return the item and was denied a refund even with proof or purchase and my drivers license. On Monday, I contacted the phone number provided on the receipt that was given to me saying I was denied. The young lady took my information and said that it was being sent Corporate. I have yet to hear back from Corporate. I have a kitty litter box that I will never use and I’m out $400.00. The fact that it was even put back on the shelf for resale is beyond ridiculous. I will be taking my monthly business elsewhere.
