  We had a really terrible experience w Manor Equine and Dr Larkin. First, she drew blood without consent. We did not authorize the blood test and have multiple barn staff that witnessed us asking her not to, and then drawing blood. When my husband asked for an itemized bill bc there were multiple emergency fees, the vet got agitated and raised her voice and told him he looked like he wouldnt pay the bill. (We had our card on file btw- so clearly not the case). When she started raising her voice my husband called another barn staff over to be around and the vet ended up sitting on the ground and crying for a while stating she had only been on the job 7 weeks and it’s hard when ppl don’t pay their bills. After the meltdown and she left, we had to call her back bc she didn’t leave the antibiotics she prescribed. After this was all over my husband called the front office who was incredibly rude and dismissive. It’s been two weeks and we have yet to receive any itemized bill and just got a notice that they sent our bill to a collections agency. I do not recommend this vet- in fact we will be reporting her bc of the unauthorized blood draw and contesting w the collection agency.

  Do not use this clinic. Deceptive billing, unauthorized procedures, and extreme unprofessionalism. I contacted Manor Equine Hospital at 8:00 AM on a weekday to schedule a same-day visit, and was quoted an $80 barn visit fee over the phone. Upon checkout, the bill unexpectedly jumped to $495 because the practice arbitrarily stacked multiple daytime "emergency" fees—directly contradicting their own website, which explicitly states that emergency services are restricted to after-hours and weekends. I also made it clear many times that this was not an emergency prior to this. The on-site experience was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. A blood draw was performed on my horse even after I explicitly asked the veterinarian to wait so I could consult the owner. When I respectfully questioned these unapproved, hidden charges, the veterinarian became aggressively hostile, raised her voice at me. When I reached out to management to resolve this, they refused to honor their own published policies or take accountability for the conduct of their staff. Save yourself the stress, financial deception, and poor treatment—find a different veterinary practice for your horses.
