  I have been a customer of Banfield for 10+ years now. I have been to multiple clinics in Virginia, and Maryland. My dog’s primary vet is in Virginia, and we live in Maryland now. For sick visits or more pressing matters I will use Banfield locations closer to us. The funny part about this view is that my dog has never been seen at this location, which is the problem. The first time I had an experience with this clinic I had called on the phone and scheduled a routine visit for my dog. The day we showed up to the appointment I was told we didn’t have one. I was confused and told staff I booked on the phone, they basically told me, oh well, can’t help you. I asked if there was anything they could possibly do, which was a firm no and disinterest in their mistake. Since then I have called here and there for sick visit options and have always been told no way Jose, with zero interest in helping my dog. I have never, ever experienced that attitude at Banfield. When I have encountered locations that don’t have availability they are always apologetic and see what they can do to help facilitate care. My dog wasn’t feeling well the other day, so I hurried and scheduled her an appointment at this clinic using the Banfield app. My partner was on their way to the clinic with our dog so I called to let them know in case they needed authorization for care. The woman immediately said “we won’t be seeing your dog today”… confused, I told her I just scheduled the appointment. She placed me on hold to ask the vet, and when she came back she told me that the vet was busy seeing drop off appointments and would not see my dog, and advised going to urgent care or the ER (for a non-emergency matter). I asked her why I was able to schedule an appointment and she said she didn’t know… I was left with the impression that they didn’t want to add another dog on late in the day (3:30pm)… but that’s me guessing. She couldn’t have cared less about coordinating care for my dog. This wouldn’t have seemed that unusual if it wasn’t out of the ordinary with my experiences at Banfield. All of this to say, Bethesda Banfield was more than happy to see my dog. And when I thought about it, I realized they always are. Anytime I’ve called the Bethesda clinic they immediately get my dog in same day. They have never turned us away. And staff if always friendly, and clearly care about my dogs needs. I guess I’ll stop wasting my time with Kensington, and stick with Bethesda. I’d recommend you skip the hassle and attitude of Kensington Banfield and call Bethesda Banfield too.

  Este disen que es hospital le isieron una mala cirugía ami mascota cuando llegas te tratan bien para que agarres un programa que no es un seguro . Pague más de $2000 por la cirugía de mi mascota pago de medicamentos. Aparte me cobran $107 mensuales.ami perrito no le dejaron bien sus hojos ahora ya no tengo mi mascota tengo que estar pagando esos $107 llame para cancelar eso me dijeron que tengo que seguir pagando que por que las facturas pero cada vez que lo lleve pagaba por recetas yo en lo personal no recomiendo este hospital aparte de todo cuesta para que contesten y son groseros.. si pudiera les diera 00000extrelkas

  I continue coming to this location because Dr. Tesfu is incredibly kind and caring. She always takes the time to answer all of my questions about my dog’s health and address any concerns I have. She reassures me that my dog is healthy while also giving me helpful recommendations to maintain or improve their health. I truly appreciate how much she cares, it really shows. I’m very grateful to have a vet I trust and feel comfortable with!

  The vet that prescribed my dog his life saving seizure medication is on vacation and my dog is due for a refill. The vet on duty is refusing to approve the prescription on chewy because they haven’t seen him before. They’ll only approve it if we bring him in for an appointment. This is a huge money grab. If the vet actually took 15 minutes out of their day to review my dogs records they’d see he’s been taking this medication for over 2 years. What a joke.
