Wouldnt work with me at all knowing im in a situation of caring for my 90 year old mother who also has dementia. This place is all about the money.
- ABAshley BollackerJul 14, 20261.0Absolute awful experience today! I drove 30 minutes to the vet only to be disappointed! I schedule my appt online for a 7am drop on 7/14/2026 for my extremely sick dog. As I am waiting to be checked the lady at the front told me I couldn’t drop my dog off due to the dr not being in till 8. I explained to her that I have a dog whose back legs are so weak he’s having the hardest time standing up. Along with extreme pain from the hotspots. The young woman said if you want to come back at 8 we could see him. I said no ma’am I have to go to work. I said your online portal gave me the option to sign him up & even gave me that time. She replies back unfortunately we have nothing to do with our online portal. So now with my dog in pain I had to take him all the way back home with NO TREATMENT. This is so unacceptable from a clinic. If you don’t have a dr for a sick visit you shouldn’t be able to sign up for that visit point blank! I will in the future refer anyone & everyone to avoid the Hagerstown Banfield.

I feel very lucky to have the Hagerstown staff to help me with my former community cat as we start our journey together, (we are now 5 months in). Quick response and addressing the issues is such a great support. The Wellness Plan has been the best for our budget. I recommend this vet practice and I have had pets in Hagerstown since 1998.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
