- JSJonae StuckeySep 26, 20262.0They don’t answer their phones when you call. You book an in-room appointment online but they will call to tell you they only do drop-offs. They’ll tell you too call back but they won’t answer.
- SSShaun SamuelsAug 28, 20265.0I called the Greenbelt Banfield out of the blue at 10:30am to get my dog his rabies shot because it had expired 19 days prior. They were thankfully able to give me an appointment for 2:45pm the same day. When I arrived they greeted me and my dog so very respectfully. The check-in process was seamless. I was informed that there wouldn't be a cost for his rabies shot because of his Wellness plan. We were done and walking out within 30 from the time we entered. Before we reached home, I received a follow-up call from the extremely polite and caring Dr. Sanders to discuss her findings with my little guy. This was a much appreciated call. Her concern and love for the patients she takes care of was quite evidently shown during that 10 minute call. We are so very happy that we chose PetSmart and Banfield for all our pet's needs for the 13 years we've had him.

She had excellent customer service skills and was very caring, patient, and understanding. She made me feel comfortable and did everything she could to help. The doctor was also amazing with Prada. They provided me with all the information I needed, answered every question I had, and took the time to make sure I understood everything. They even helped me with the DNA test so I could learn more about Prada and find out exactly what breed she is. I really appreciate how welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful the entire team was. I left feeling confident that Prada was in good hands. Thank you to the whole Banfield team for giving Prada such great care and making our experience so positive!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
