Mil gracias!!!

Great for preventative care, not great for reactive care for illnesses or injuries.

The doctor here was incredibly rude. I called to discuss the medications she is on as she is getting older, and he did not listen. He told me that he sees a lot of dogs, and told me to call the ER she recently visited, and then hung up on me. I have been with Banfield since 2016 in the states of Texas, Indiana, and now DC. This is the first time I have had an incredibly poor experience with a vet at Banfield. As my dog is nearing the end of her life, I will not allow a callous veterinarian to see her. If he is overwhelmed, then I highly suggest hiring more people at this location. In no way is it ever okay to speak to anyone like that, regardless if she is old or a puppy. I will try one more location, but I do not intend to renew my membership with Banfield. Also, there are so many kinder vets out there, as through my dog's life that is all we have ever had experienced with Banfield. Unfortunately, this is not the place. I will never come back to this location. Also, want to mention, I am a super reasonable person. I work in sales and understand how things can get, but this is unacceptable.

DON’T TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. Abnormal tests are throughout the charts. Veterinarians never acknowledged the abnormal results in years. Lulu died because of malpractice and negligence of these people who claim are veterinarians. I took my Russian Blue cat here since 2019. I upgraded the plan to the one that included teeth cleanings in 2021. I took Lulu for her routine check up and teeth cleaning on 4/20. She died 48 hours after I picked her up from this appointment. The was my emotional support animal and very bonded precious feline daughter of over 12 years. I took her here because I thought I was helping live a healthy and long life. Her life was cut short. The vet had concerns of a cough I described. But she had had this cough since 2016. I wasn’t fully aware of anesthesia risks as cats aged. Her cause of death was a sepsis caused by a gas producing bacteria and source was never determined. I’ve had the saddest 3 weeks of my life. I’m unable to sleep throughout the night because of heart palpitations and my appetite is off. There’s so much guilt in having lost her this way. She probably didn’t even need this teeth cleaning which was meant to be her last. I never had deep conversations w vets of alternative options or to know whether she even needed them. I wish vets screened better and asked pet parents about diet and alternative ways of cleaning teeth as opposed to putting them under anesthesia without even known of diets and other ways to care for their teeth. Lulu didn’t have cavities or need teeth extractions because she only ate dry food. She never liked wet food and she was really good at hydrating with purified water. My advice for new customers is to do your homework. Research and have long conversations and alternate options. I’m left heart broken, without my beloved pet, and a large bill from the hospital. I’m mad at Banfield because of doctors notes after her prior 5 teeth cleanings by saying how much they removed and how she needs to come back. Never advice of alternative options of caring for her dental hygiene. Makes me feel how this was a money making procedure. Because of this trains my future pets won’t go to any Banfield. Please learn from this painful experience.
