The veterinarian Dr Bloom was amazing. You could tell she was very experienced and has a love for her job and the animals. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and answered every question that I had. I am definitely only used them for my dog

Two stars only because the tech I had today was very kind to me and my dog. I booked a first-time wellness exam for my 7 year old GSP/pittie mix three days ago. I left a comment about a possible UTI because she had a few accidents this week, one week after putting her pack-mate to sleep the week before (who was also under the care of Falls Road too). I had to take off work to accommodate the appointment I requested and arrived a few minutes early. When I got inside I said I was there to check in. The gal behind the desk informed me that they left me a voicemail to reschedule because Dr. Hammond “doesn’t really do issue appointments”. I said that I had no missed calls, or voicemails, and said she also needed a wellness visit and vaccines anyway. Another gal behind the desk chimed in saying I had said that she had a UTI. I said I was questioning if she had a grief-induced UTI (that was something that came up when I was looking up her symptoms) but that she also was past due on vaccines. They both said they’d ask if I could still be seen. First issue with this is why was there no follow up to confirm the message had been received? Second issue, why is a vet not taking “issue” appointments, and if not why didn’t they try harder to get in touch to reschedule? They took me back, like I said, the tech was wonderful. She was super kind and playful and lovey with my dog. She offered to do a urinalysis, went over vaccine options, and gave me a quote, then left the room. I had let my dog off her leash when the tech was in there because my dog was trying to interact so much with the tech and I don’t want anyone tripping. The vet came in and my dog greeted him, tried jumping up on him, and he immediately asked that I contain her. I respected his request and grabbed her harness to keep her away from him. The coldness he had toward her was unlike anything I have ever seen with a vet. He didn’t want to interact, pet or be near her. This was really odd behavior from someone whose job it is to work with animals. We talked about what was going on, he said he wanted to add bloodwork to check her kidney and liver function, but that it sounded like incontinence, not a UTI. I asked if we could skip the urinalysis then, and he said that’s going to tell a different story for him, basically saying to do both. When he left I looked up UTI symptoms and incontinence symptoms (which he barely asked any questions about) and she matches all of the incontinence ones. Dr. Hammond came back in and I told him I didn’t want the urinalysis because based on her symptoms and him even saying it didn’t sound like a UTI I didn’t see the need and we’re on a tight budget. He eventually said that was fine before leaving again. Another person came in and took my dog to the back for the vaccines and bloodwork, but I had to confirm they weren’t doing the urinalysis. She had to leave and the original tech came back to confirm no UA. I also said to Dr. Hammond and the random person I needed to know the cost of the bloodwork before agreeing to it. The tech gave me a quote after that. My dog was gone less than 10 minutes, which I thought was odd, but thought maybe they’d do the wellness exam in the room - which is what I’ve always experienced at every other vet. Dr. Hammond never came back in. The original tech came in with meds for incontinence, and to walk me to the front to check out. Zero talk about how her exam went, or if there was one in less than 10 minutes, but was charged $94 for it. They also have her listed as an entirely different breed, which the tech caught and said she’d change, but didn’t. This is the third pet I’ve brought here, and I wish I’d never come back with the second honestly, but they were the closest ER at the time. It’s a nice facility, some of the staff is really nice, but others really leave a bad taste.

Do not come here! I made an appointment through the $25 wellness check page, and if you do the same they will try to scam you. I was in the building for less than 30 minutes, and saw the doctor for less than 5 minutes, and they tried to charge me $200. So I argued that the exam fee should be $25 not $100, and they told me that since it was a sick visit (it was not) that the exam fee is $100. The “sickness” in question was one injured toenail I wanted them to take a look at. So they move the exam fee down to $25, but charge me $65 for a “clip and clean”. Apparently no matter how many nails they clip, even if it takes them 30 seconds, it costs $65 no matter what. The doctor was out of the room for less than 5 minutes and clipped ONE NAIL. For 65 DOLLARS. Absolutely ridiculous, if your business relies on overcharging working people and barely offering a service, then you shouldn’t be a business. Also the vet doctor acted scared and concerned when my cat was unhappy with her manhandling the injured toenail. If you can’t handle a cat squirming around because it’s uncomfortable, maybe don’t become a vet. Horrible experience, cold and detached employees, I’m shocked they had so many people in their waiting room. Maybe because they’re advertising a scam on their front page.

I brought my dog in for a peach pit ingestion, which I knew was time-sensitive. However, the experience felt poorly communicated. My dog was taken from me without clear explanation or consent, and I was not allowed to stay with her during the exam or treatment. This lack of transparency felt very uncomfortable in an emergency setting.
