Has adorable guinea pigs... great stock, excellent aquatics section that is central within the store. They offer a broader selection of cat items than the Boston branch. Kind staff, very clean store. They offer grooming services here as well.

Forgot the cashiers name: Young African American gentleman. Very polite and signed me up for Rewards program. Will definitely return to Woburn location.

If I could give negative stars I would. My baby has been getting groomed at this location for years and she’s always done well, even when matted. They always say how sweet she is and easy etc. I took her for her grooming, the drop off was unpleasant which was NOT TYPICAL. She usually sees Paige who is amazing love her!! But since she was booked out I had her go with Michael which she’s seen before. Immediately I could tell he was having a bad day from the drop off. He was talking about his cat that was lost and that had ran away to a different customer who was picking her pet up. Completely disregarding my baby, and having a conversation for almost 5 minutes with that customer about his cat. As I am trying to sign the papers needed with my dog IN MY HANDS he is sitting still talking about his cat to someone else. I leave the building with such a gut wrenching feeling that something was off. I texted my friend to let him know that I felt like he was going to neglect my baby. I was expected to pick her up 2 hours later, but I stayed near by bc of errands. Not even 30 minutes into the appointment I get a bunch of calls saying my baby is at the hospital bc he cut her. They are playing it off on the phone like it’s nothing, didn’t even apologize on the phone. I get to the hospital and she has to get three stitches on her leg bc of how deep he cut her. I was told they would reach out to check on her, it’s been a week and not a peep. I loved this place so much that I took the drive every time for her to go there, even though I don’t live that close. So considering they didn’t even check on her, apologize and that this man cut her bc he was too distracted about his cat, I will never go back EVER. I knew it in my gut something would happen and I will never second guess that feeling again. Shame on you Petco!! Yes things happen but considering the carelessness, the fact I know about him and his cats entire situation before AND after, even though he wasn’t talking to me, and that it was 25-30 min into her 2 hour expected pickup. Shows how distracted he already was prior to the situation. I empathize with lost animals I really do, but simply don’t come to work if u can’t self regulate enough to focus on your job, that people trust you with THEIR fur babies with.

They used to take great care of their fish, I don’t know what happened. The tanks are full of dead fish and they are absolutely filthy. They also keep eels in tiny containers you can’t even see into they’re so dirty.
