  I only put 1 star because I can't put anything less than that. I had my Maltipoo go in on Sunday 15 August 2026 for a grooming appointment. He was scheduled to be groomed at 1.30pm. Upon arrival I was told that they are extremely busy and that the wait would be approximately 3 or 3.5hrs. I am not driving and had used an Uber to get to the location (Uber pet cost $27 one way therefore a round-trip is $54). I decided to walk around the area and find ways of entertaining myself as I waited. Eventually my dog was ready and when I fetched him the only thing I could think of was leaving and going home to rest. Upon arrival at home I realized that my dog's flea collar was not around his neck. It was too late to call the store by that time. On Monday 16 August I called Petco and spoke to the gentleman who groomed the dog. He was very polite, acknowledged that it was his mistake and also advised that the collar was there and that I could go through and pick it up. I told him I couldn't come back as I'm not driving and can't spend $54 again. I requested that they post the collar to my home. He said he would speak to his manager and revert, he never did. On Tuesday 17 August 2026 I called the store again and spoke to a lady by the name of Laura. She said she would escalate the matter to her Manager. After a short hold she returned to say her manager said they cannot post the collar and that I would have to come back in. I asked to speak to the Manager whose name is Kathy. I called the number I was given and had her on the line. Kathy was very curt and told me that no accommodations would be made in order to rectify the situation. I asked her why I would be expected to pay $54 for a mistake that was not mine to begin with. She then retorted by stating that it was my responsibility to ensure that the flea collar was on my dog and not the staff's responsibility. Not once did she sympathize with the fact that I had to wait 3.5hrs for the dog to be groomed and that after exercising such patience I arrived home only to find the dog's collar missing. Petco may not ship collars to clients as a rule but the fact that I explained that I am not driving and can't incur an additional expense for a collar the groomer should have put back fell on deaf ears. Kathy was unwilling and completely disinterested in having the collar posted to me, if not for anything, just as a courtesy and a goodwill gesture. I told her I would like to escalate the matter. She gave me the customer service number and told me in an extremely terse tone that customer service would tell me the same thing she had. I called the customer service centre and spoke to an extremely polite lady who apologized on Kathy's behalf. (When Kathy reads this review I am sure she will be disappointed to know that Customer Service did not agree with her). She assured me that the attitude I received from Kathy was not a reflection of the values that Petco holds. I was advised that they will be investigating the matter and will revert. Since this is tick season I sincerely hope I will be able to get the flea collar back sooner rather than later and at this rate, a refund as well for my trouble.

  Our groomer was absolutely amazing. Or dog has never been so clean! We are very impressed he got all the mats out of her fur and that she was very happy when we picked her up.

  I took my Maltese puppy to this Petco location for a teddy bear cut, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The haircut itself was not done properly. I specifically asked for a teddy bear cut, but my puppy’s face was not shaped correctly, and his ears were noticeably uneven. A teddy bear cut requires careful shaping, especially for small breeds, and it did not appear that the groomers had the experience or skill to achieve that style. The result looked more like a basic trim rather than the style I requested. Even more concerning than the haircut was the cleanliness of the store. The area outside the grooming section and near the register was covered in large amounts of loose dog hair — actual piles of it. Every time someone walked through, the hair would lift into the air. It was obvious this had not been cleaned for some time. I mentioned it to three groomers who were standing nearby, and one responded casually, “Oh yeah, a lot of shedding,” instead of addressing the issue. That response was disappointing, as cleanliness in a pet grooming environment should be a priority. The only positive I can mention is that the price was reasonable. For someone with a large dog needing a simple wash or very basic cut, this location might be acceptable. However, if you have a small dog and are looking for a styled cut, especially something like a teddy bear cut, I would not recommend this location. Overall, I left feeling disappointed with both the quality of the grooming and the cleanliness of the facility.
