Instead of getting better, my senior cat developed hypothyroidism as a result of this very expensive treatment. And there was no call from the vet at radiocat, no post-treatment discussion, no one there to follow up with when this happened, and of course no refunds. I was just left facing more vet visits and fees and new, different medications. So be aware: this is a chain operation. You speak with a their remote coordinator only, and that's it. There is no face-to-face interaction with anyone directly involved with treating your pet. If I could go back in time, I would have taken her to Angell, where they start off with a consult visit and you speak with the techs, vets, and everyone involved. Radiocat claims that hypothyroidism very rare outcome, but it doesn't feel that rare when it happens to your cat. And since there isn't much transparency in their entire process, how can anyone be sure the percentages they quote are accurate, or truthful? Also, her radiation readings were also still completely off the charts long after she was discharged. Based on my conversations with Angell, it seems like that's something they are far more cautious about.

I am very disappointed with my experience at Radiocat. The treatment did nothing for my cat's thyroid levels. I doubt I will want to pay again so it's back to the medication and minus $1600.
