  Fish tanks are empty or covered in algae, dead fish everywhere. Staff is non existent and don’t care about helping you. If you do finally ask for help get ready to be treated like junk. Best thing about this location is an employee told me to go to Klems in Spencer versus shopping at Petco.

  I hedged my bets considering the reviews on grooming, especially the one that said they took their 3-1/2 year old dog who'd never been to a groomer and had a great experience; but I should have paid more attention to the one who said the groomer she had was not certified and she didn't get the services she paid for. If they're going to have an inexperienced groomer groom your dog, they should advertise that so you know what you're getting, like when you go to a hair salon and have the option of getting the junior stylist at a lower rate. This girl was glad I didn't want gland expression (even though it's part of the service) because "it's hard" and I was then informed that she's not allowed to use scissors or clippers (thankfully he wasn't in for a cut.) When I went to pick him up and said she should put his harness on before bringing him out because he was stressed and there were other people and dogs around, she said she "wasn't good at putting a harness on a dog." Seems to me that groomers should have more experience with dogs. My dog was anxious, I get that - I even warned them at booking and when I dropped him off that he'd never been to a groomer before and that he might be nervous - but I'm guessing her nerves made it worse. Also, they make you check out before you see your pet so you really have no idea what you're paying for. I definitely wouldn't have tipped what I did. His nails are jagged, his fur is scratchy (when I bathe him at home it's like silk!) and I doubt he got the Furminator treatment I paid for. They also never called to tell me he was ready and then texted and said "just checking to see if you're almost here..." Very unprofessional all around.

  Pleasant experience. They always have what I need and more and cashing out is simple and quick. I love that I can bring my fur baby with me so he gets a day out on the town. Keep up the great work, Petco!

  I always have a great experience at this petco, employees go above and beyond! Kayleigh is caring and very pet knowledgeable and made sure I had everything I needed for new pet setup!
