We had a great visit. The Saugus staff were friendly and attentive although I miss the old team. I’ve been going here for 4 years now. Things have definitely changed. One complaint I have- it’s very difficult to book appointments. You’re better off bringing your pet to an urgent care if they need care. Also, I had to confirm my appt 4 times through text and again with a staff member over the phone. It’s almost like I was prompted to cancel or reschedule. This is concerning.

Leda was great! Even followed up after we had left to make sure that we had what we needed for our paperwork for insurance purposes.

After nearly 5 years of bringing my three dogs to Vetco in Saugus, I am extremely disappointed with the new team. They seem inexperienced and do not know how to properly handle dogs. I brought my 4-year-old dog in because he was suffering from severe ear pain. Unfortunately, I arrived only 7 minutes late, and they refused to even look at him. Instead of showing any compassion or concern for an animal in pain, they simply told me I would have to reschedule. What upset me the most was the complete lack of empathy and care for my dog’s condition. After being a loyal customer for years, I expected much better treatment and understanding. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this clinic under its current management and staff. It was very disappointing to see how little concern was shown for an animal that was clearly suffering.

I have been bringing my dogs to this clinic for years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Today, I arrived only 5 minutes late for the appointment of my dog, who was in pain with an ear issue. Despite being a long-time client and explaining the situation, my appointment was canceled, and my dog wasn’t even seen. It felt like there was no concern or compassion for a pet that was clearly uncomfortable and needed care. After years of being a loyal client, this level of inflexibility and lack of empathy was extremely disappointing. I understand clinics have schedules to maintain, but when it comes to animals in pain, a little compassion and understanding can go a long way. Also because every time we wait a looong time to be seeing by the doctor. Not going anymore!

Vetco isn't any cheaper than an actual vet. I'd be okay with the long waits, poor service, and difficul communication if I could save money, but they charge just as much as the vet hospital down the road. Don't waste your time.
