- MCMarcela Cardona2 days ago1.0I had to take my dog in for his booster vaccination. I called ahead and was given an appointment specifically for the vaccine. After waiting about 30 minutes to be seen, the vaccination itself took less than 5 minutes. The veterinarian administered the vaccine and told me that my dog was doing very well. In fact, I had no concerns whatsoever about his health. When I went to pay the bill, I was shocked to see that I was charged almost twice the price of the vaccine. When I asked why, I was told it was because my dog had been seen by a veterinarian instead of a technician. Excuse me, what??? No one ever explained the price difference to me, and I was never given the option to choose whether my dog would be seen by a veterinarian or a technician. Yet I was charged almost double for something I never had the opportunity to decide on. I find it completely unacceptable that this was not explained before the service was provided. If you are taking your dog in for a vaccination, make sure to ask about the total cost and who will administer it before they take your pet in, so you don’t end up with an unexpected bill.

- JWJ WAug 13, 20265.0We brought ZEUS, our Rottweiler, into the Salem, MA location due to two severe hot spots on his neck. Dr. Scott Hamberg was fantastic, as was the entire staff. Dr. Hamberg took his time explaining how to move forward with ZEUS’ treatment and what signs to look out for in the future if we suspect ZEUS is beginning to have another bout of hot spots. What we especially appreciated was that he explained everything in layman’s terms, making it easy for us to understand exactly what was going on and what we needed to do. We really appreciated the time, care, and attention he gave to ZEUS and to us. Highly recommend Dr. Hamberg and the entire team!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
