I’ve been going to them for years with my bird and I have never been treated more disrespectful than today. I show up 20 minutes early for my appointment as I always do and my appointment time is 930. They tell me that it’s gonna be at least another 20 minutes because it’s an emergency appointment that the doctor is in with so I asked why wasn’t I told that when I first walked in because now I have to push my whole schedule back for the day because it seems like they never have any help during the shortstaffed with the doctors or shortstaffed with their Technicians that’s why when you call there you get pushed to voicemail or told to go to emergency vet because they’re just too busy to take a phone call really sad that’s why they lose business all the time. The doctor is great that my bird used to see the front reception. Staff does not know how to be receptionist to give information to clients as they come in the door when needed. They lost my business due to the reception staff.

The staff here is incredible. They make stressful times so much easier with how much they clearly love your pets.

I’m not the type of person who typically writes reviews, and I’ve been sitting on this since Feb. but do not bring you pets to Dr. Dickinson. She was not only rude to me, but traumatized my dog. She forced a leather muzzle that was too small over his nose because it was “all she had.” She also used a holding technique that is considered outdated. When I questioned this she told me I “wasn’t a doctor.” I will admit I was upset and probably not my kindest, but I have owned several dogs and have experience in vet med so I can tell when something is off. She was extraordinarily hostile and when my dog had anxiety from her behavior to him, she said “well it’s not like he’s a golden retriever.” I will admit my dog can be reactive at the vet, but I have never seen him in that much fear and he has since to demonstrate that much fear when we switched practices. I have connections to the vet world and consulted multiple people about what occurred in that appointment and all of them were horrified. Other providers in this practice have been kind, but this is not a fear friendly clinic at all.
