  this store is a great store but a lot of the employees they hire aren’t experienced w taking care of the fish and feed you wrong information on things like what to feed your aquatic animals and the proper things you need in order to have a healthy aquarium. as well as the customer service isn’t great it’s very poor. you’ll stand in the aquatic section for 20-30mins before having to go ask an employee to help you with your need/questions, honestly crazy. i have now just recently bought african dwarf frogs from them 5 to be exact for the moment (i currently have 4 cherry shrimp 5 ghost shrimp 2 mystery snails 7 albino tetra and then js recently added the african frogs) these frogs have been in my tank for a little over a week and seemed to be doing fine till i found one dead this morning. i tested my water (i only have test strip atm) and everything seemed to be doing fine (all my other fish have been in there for over a month w no problems) i called this petco to ask them to do a water test for me so i could see maybe there’s something im missing because maybe my strips are not fully accurate. i called the employee tells me to bring in my water and dead fish in a bag just like that. so i do so, i get there n she tells me she can’t test it bc the dead frog is in there which is understandable but at the moment i wasn’t aware because she had told me to bring it in that way. fast forward she tells me she can refund me the animal so me being fusterated because there was no transparency i take it n go to get my refund. now im trying to talk w the associate doing my refund but no words from him the only thing is “the refund will be back on your card” and started taking the customer behind me. “um hello” i still had questions on how this refund is going to work but nope off the next customer so instead of continuing i leave because again the customer service is awful they aren’t transparent and while dealing with you they’ll randomly just start dealing w the next customer

  Staff here is always friendly and helpful. Clean store. They keep the shelves well stocked.
