- VFVanildes FerreiraAug 22, 20262.0The service is usually good, but I arrived with my dog vomiting and suffering from severe diarrhea, and they simply refused to see him—so what am I paying for insurance for? If the dog is dying, is he just supposed to die, or do we have to find another clinic and pay an exorbitant amount, even though we already pay for insurance? I arrived at 8:00 AM, and they still wouldn't see him. This has happened more than once; I had to rush to another city and pay a fortune for emergency care.
- RFRachel FaiasAug 14, 20261.0Do not bring your babies here. One of our dogs was diagnosed with Cushing’s a couple years ago. It was basically never controlled properly. MULTIPLE times we brought her in for bloodwork to check her levels and they would send her home claiming she didn’t have her meds that morning and should have, or she had her meds that morning and shouldn’t have. We had to reschedule her over and over again and eventually started asking for fasting/med instructions in writing so they couldn’t mess with us anymore. It got to the point where our dog was near death which we found out from going somewhere else. They got her records from Banfield and said her organs and cortisol levels had been declining for months and we were never made aware. Every single test they did on her, her levels were more than double what’s normal. Unfortunately after a month of trying to play catch up and heal our baby, she was just suffering and we had to put her down. I fully blame this Banfield location for her death. She should have been better monitored once diagnosed but we trusted the “professionals” and unfortunately lost our girl because of it. We are moving our other pets to a different place ASAP. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
