These folks are the best! We contacted Hearth and Hound at the last minute because my parents’ toy poodle was about to get them kicked out of the hotel they were staying in—she was barking ceaselessly at night. The staff at H&H were flexible and graciously made room for the dog to stay for two overnights (until my parents went home). My dad, who is 92 years old and usually bonded to this poodle like a human barnacle, was able to part ways with his dog for the night once he learned of how highly trained the staff is (featuring someone trained as a human nurse and multiple vet techs). Of course, my dad couldn’t be without his beloved dog for 48 hours, so after the first night we picked up the pup in the morning, adventured around the Berkshires, then dropped her off at H&H again so my parents could sleep through the night and not be evicted from the hotel. The dog was healthy and happy, the humans got some sleep, and we all had a fabulous weekend thank to this kennel!

Hearth and Hound is top notch! Alexis and her staff is extremely knowledgeable in dog needs and behavior. They have high sanitation standards. They set a calm tone for the dog pack interactions providing fun AND safety. Also, they help educate dog owners on proper dog to dog relationship building. I observed them teaching a student learner about best practices in all aspects of dog day care and boarding. Patience, knowledge, and fun at Hearth and Hound. Thank you!

Hearth and Hound is the absolute best. We have a new Lagotto puppy and were really concerned about him being properly socialized and also being ok to board when we are away. We tried a few boarding facilities in the area and just couldn't get past our puppy being kenneled all day. Hearth and Hound has been the absolute best situation we could have found. Not only is our puppy getting socialized during daycare visits but he also has learned to love being boarded when we are away. This is 100% due to the amazing staff. They are passionate dog lovers who really care. They helped us work through a number of issues with our puppy's shyness and anxiety initially and we couldn't be happier. Its just the best feeling to leave our dog there!

My 10 month old Lab went for a 4 hour visit/evaluation to doggie daycare. We want to get her acclimated to the whole process of boarding, if ever needed, and also play groups for socialization and play time. The staff were amazing! So nice, caring and happy to listen and answer any questions. The facilities are spotless, both indoor and outdoor. There are several nice, big, clean empty rooms for indoor play, as needed. There are many decently sized fenced in outdoor play areas. While they have kennels for boarding, I don’t believe any dogs spend any time in the kennel for doggie daycare. At the end of the day, they send report cards for your pet, including some photos from the days activities! The best part was that upon pickup, I asked for a tour and the answer was immediately YES, without hesitation! (I’ve asked other places and the answer was “no, we don’t give tours” or “yes, but you need to call ahead”). My dog seemed to have the best time, based on the report card photos (and what they post on social media). She was wiped out for the rest of the day and night! I’ve already booked another 1/2 day for next week! While I can’t (yet) comment on overnight boarding, I highly recommend them for doggie daycare.
