  The attending vet assistants were nice and the receptionist as well. I have always gone to banfield for all of my pets, and I’m not one to make bad reviews. But the Dr. they had assigned today on 10/9/26, Dr. Baxter, was very rude from the start. My dog unfortunately has dental issues, other vets have said I can just do the best I can since she can’t be put under. When I told her about her history she kept cutting me off. I stayed quiet because I was not going to argue in a public setting. My dog got snippy, which I understand is worrying and can be a safety issue. She said and I quote to the vet assistant “you don’t want to get bit by that mouth” so I said “would you like me to hold her so she (the nice assistant) doesn’t get bit by that mouth?” She looked at me and said “I’m sorry that offended you, I’m just trying to educate you” yes, I am hearing and listening and I appreciate the education but there are nicer way of saying things so I then said “you could be nicer you know?”, I guess that ruffled her feathers since she decided to say “I think I am nice, I am just trying to educate and advocate for your dog”… ma’am, I have had my dog for almost 11 years. I have tried looking for other vets that CAN HELP HER, but because she almost died TWICE they have all said just do the best you can do. Again, I have NEVER had issues with other doctors or vets at bandfield especially at this location until this rude doctor decided to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. So yes while I did snap back, there was no reason to be rude from the start of your shift!

  the pet hospital is good, but the insurance through them is predatory. don't ever get the insurance through Banfield

  I have been bringing my dog here for the past 8 years, never had an issue until today. I brought her in for her routine comprehensive exam. Usually for her appointments I drop her off at 7 and pick her up later in the day. Well, today I decided to bring her in at 9 and wait for her. They took her back for a total of 5 minutes before the tech brought her back in, dropped her mid air and said “She needs to come back medicated, the dr will be in”. Didn’t look at me once, didn’t explain why, was super rude and just walked out. Then the dr came in and said that she has been aggressive before and she needs Trazodone and Gabapentin to calm her down. My dog is a 13lb lhasa apso, I understand she can get a bit snippy when she’s nervous but she does not need 2 different medications to sedate her. Then I go to the front and ask why no one has ever mentioned this before, and they said they don't know and that she has notes in her profile saying she can get aggressive. WHY DID NO ONE MENTION THIS TO ME BEFORE. Of course the one time I could sit in the room and wait for her they decide to tell me. I do not trust this place anymore, who knows what they did to my dog when I was not there. Truly rude and unprofessional.

  The actual vets are a revolving door. They dont know your babies and only rely on their chart. The vet is mandatory supposed to call after the visit, they might not even speak English. I had a wonderful baby boy, only 7 years old and was I told it was all in his head so just kept giving him the meds, he passed away, far too premature. I can not say that this could have been prevented, but obviously I hold some hostility.

  The worst customer service ever I don’t remember that I called one time needed help and someone picked up the phone. I don’t recommend this place, and definitely I’m canceling my membership with Banfield.
