  The pac man frog’s substrate at the desk pet booth was bone dry, no dish. they were all dug deep against the bottom of the enclosure soaking up any small amount of moisture that was left, which was barely any. I think I saw maybe a one centimeter ring of moisture around ONE of the frog’s. I don’t even know if they were all alive I only got two out of the three or four to show signs of life.

  Store closes at 9pm. Right now it is 7:30pm. I need to buy a single plant for fish tank. Nobody is here. I go to register, let the guy know I need help there. He says I need to go back and wait there. I wait, wait, wait then notice a person in floor. I ask for help, and that gjy says it is closed already (???). I say that the store seems to be open, fully operational a d full.of people, and lights in the fish department are on... He agrees to help after he is done with what hebis done. Eventually, I got my plants but it proced me 30 min of my time. Ridiculous.

  I don’t know why it’s always so slow In here but if you have something to do DONT GO HERE they move slow as molasses. None of the employees have any kinda hustle in them they all work one speed.

  I have been going to this Petco only recently since I switched to mostly Chewy deliveries. The last 3 times I’ve been there an incredibly astute and friendly Petco employee was able to help me find what I needed. When a manager told me they were out of the particular product I was looking for Ron spoke up and led me to where they were! Today I was looking for it again and they had moved its location. I asked Ron who not only remembered who I was but also knew where they were now kept. He is an exemplary employee with a kind, gentle nature. I hope Petco knows what a gem they have in Ron.

  Rating 5 stars because 9/10 times I’ve come here, staff was amazing and this Petco doesn’t deserve a lesser rating because of one bad apple ~ HOWEVER~ Was looking at live rock / saltwater options 2pm today (Sunday) but lights were off and staff was nowhere to be found for 20+ minutes. I’m short, so I took the liberty to use a step stool to take a look at higher tanks. Some managerial clown finally emerged from a back room and proceeded to scold me like a child (I’m 33) and assume I knew that because lights were off, saltwater options weren’t available “due to treatment”. To said managerial clown: learn to use your words and at the very least, be present in the aquatics section, which you’re paid to station instead of hiding in the back room. If not, please seek an alternative occupation that doesn’t require talking with people, because your social skills are giving ~work remotely around no people~
