  Love petco for my cats and dogs but I would highly recommend another pet shop for anything fish or reptile related. The staff seem poorly trained on the care of a fish tank, as well as the fish themselves. We had got 6 male guppies from here and the next day one of them was having serious issues swimming and what looked like it could be either swim bladder or dropsy. When taking him back the employee in the aquarium section bluntly and quite rudely said that “Oh he’s definitely going to die, yeah he’s going to die” and suggested us flushing or dropping him somewhere, we had to directly ask her to please take care of him for us. It sickens me that someone working at a pet store would suggest just pouring the fish outside, instead of anything even a little more humane.

  Megan was very helpful and friendly... She answered all of our questions about a bird was very informative and she is part of the deciding reason we made a purchase thank you Megan!!!

  This is a decent default place to get your pet groomed. They did however cut my dog's whiskers (uneven mind you).

  The people there are always friendly and eager to assist customers. I give them 5 stars. The store needs more staffing, that is why 4 stars.

  They always have the cat food we are looking for which is great. Never had a poor interaction with an employee there until this morning. I was waiting up at the front for someone to come to to the register. Someone yelled across the store that I was standing at the wrong register. When she made it over to the register she picked up and put down a bell in a different register and looked at me l was dumb for not using it. Tried to diffuse the conversation by asking about the bucket up against the wall labeled "no crickets" and you could hear the crickets chirping. She got upset and snapped at me "and please don't go through our stuff". Idk what power trip she was on but I didn't want the crickets I was just making conversation nor did I go in the back room or open the container you could hear the crickets screaming. Please keep the attitude at home next time no one needs that at 9 in the morning. * Update: I spoke with the customer service and they apologized for the interaction. I appreciate them following up, I'm sure it was a one off. Still our preferred location for cat food without having to order online
