  3 stars because I can never get to what I want to buy because of all of the pallets of Incoming product sitting in the aisles. The store looks messy.

  They are so good to my dogs when we go in. They have a great selections for dogs, my only disappointment was, their pup baseball caps didn't fit my frenchies

  I was supposed to take my dog to get groomed here today for the first time and was surprised to discover that the person I had spoken to regarding the appointment was misleading. I was looking for a groomer closer to home so I didn't have to go to north wichita anymore. I don't allow my dog to be kept for a ridiculously long time in a kennel and was looking for a groomer who does it by appointments. I told the lady I spoke with that this was a huge requirement for me and she informed me that she could do that and even signed me up for the express grooming for only 20 dollars more to insure that she was not sitting in a kennel. When I arrived at my scheduled appointment I was annoyed to discover that this was not going to be the case for my dog and they did plan on putting her in a kennel until they could get to her. She told me she was sorry for the misinformation cause she was new and that she planned on putting her in a kennel up front with her till she could get to her. I was irritated but the groomer asked that I give her a chance and I agreed until the groomer decided to lecture me on how I needed to change my approach because my dog felt my nervous behavior. Needless to say I did not leave my dog with this dishonest and rude woman and I strongly suggest you don't either. Lying to your customers is a huge red flag and luckily my groomer was able to get her in tomorrow. I'm not nervous but know that my dog is so I don't allow her to sit in a prolonged out appointment when there are places that do groom by appointment.

  Went in to this store with my wife and kids to simply buy a gerbil or hamster. The manager here is apparently a zoologist and doesn't want to sell any pets because this was the second visit where I was confronted by her and told she would not sell me one because the cage we had was too small. She told us we had to get a 40 gallon glass aquarium for a tiny little hamster. The first visit the power went out in the store and the lady told me they could not sell anything without us filling out paperwork. Mind you the air conditioning was out, the lights were out in the reptile cages and the animals were in danger of overheating or not being heated enough depending on the animal. Instead of letting us save one and take it home they would not sell us one at all even though the front door said they were accepting cash only. We had cash and just wanted a hamster. The second visit is when she told us the cage we had was not big enough even though it is the exact same size as the ones they are kept in at the store. She tried to tell me those were temporary cages and they only stay in there for 2 weeks before they are "discounted". I hate to think of what happens when these creatures are not sold at all because I have seen the results. Petco is trash, I will never shop there again. The zoologist would not sell us what we asked for without a detailed description of who, what, when, where and why we were wanting a hamster. We bought a guinea pig a year or two ago from them and never had to play 60 minutes, the question king, or the Dan Rathers show experience. We didn't have to fill out anything or go through any of this. Btw our guinea pig is a happy little guy doing great and loving his life with all of the treats, Timothy hay and food he can handle. He is a very well taken care of boy who is chunky and healthy yet we were questioned by this zoologist as if we had never had a pet a day in our lives.

  Generally, I've not had any issues with this Petco. Yesterday though, there were a couple issues. One, there was a Purina Pro Plan coupon display on the shelf for $10 off $75. On top of almost all of the large breed varieties being out of stock, I got to the register and the employee informed me that the coupon was expired. Despite the coupon being part of a display that had not been removed timely, I could not use the coupon. After checking out, I witnessed the same employee walking out the parking lot, meaning that he didn't go to resolve the issue but instead went about other tasks. Additionally, I found that a one gallon automatic waterer was priced at $43! I left it on the shelf and grabbed a two-gallon waterer on clearance at Walmart for $18.
