  I entered the store with my dog on a short leash to exchange his food. I had only been in the store for about 45 seconds when a manager, Bobby, yelled at me to "pick up your dog's pee." I had not seen my dog urinate, nor had I stopped walking from the moment I entered long enough for him to do so. When I asked what he meant, he pointed at the floor and insisted my dog had peed. I told him I had not seen that, and explained that I am a new dog owner and have only brought my 10 lb. dog inside with me for grooming, so he has never urinated inside a store, and if he had, I would have cleaned it up myself without being scolded to do so. Rather than calmly raising the issue or explaining policy in a professional manner, Bobby escalated immediately, threatened to refuse me service, and raised his voice at me down the aisle in front of other customers and employees. When I attempted to explain my confusion, Bobby lunged, pointed his fingers in my face, and continued to be argumentative and dismissive. A second employee stood nearby and did not intervene. I want to be clear that this complaint is not about a dispute over cleaning up after my dog or store policy. I understand and accept that responsibility, and I would have handled it without hesitation had I actually saw my dog urinate. This review address more important concerns about being scolded, pointed at, and threatened by a manager who escalated a routine interaction into a hostile one rather than simply explaining store expectations. This is not an isolated incident. On September 19, 2026, I was in this same store without my dog and witnessed another customer upset about how an employee had treated her daughters. I have also seen, through customer reviews and even Petco's own corporate website, indications that this location has an established pattern of poor customer service. A pattern like this, especially one involving management, explains the lackluster standard of customer service and points to an accountability issue at this store that should concern Petco directly, especially given that these impressions are highlighted in the AI summary reviews on your website (see attached). Some customers continue to tolerate this kind of treatment simply because the location is convenient. I will not. I would rather drive 30 minutes out of my way than walk into a store where I have to brace for being scolded the moment I walk in.

  We love this location. The employees are so nice! We visit pretty regularly just to look at the animals (I have a 1 + 3 year old). Scott (I believe that was his name) went out of his way to talk to us about the animals we were looking at and to show us as he fed some of them! I really appreciated that he took the time to make our visit so special. It is clear this store has employees that really care about keeping their animals healthy and happy!
