I had an excellent experience with Vetco. My cat, Calvin, is an intact feral male that has a pretty severe flea allergy. When he’s bitten he breaks out, and will scratch his face open trying to get at the itch. At which point he gets violent. I’m able to handle him but I know what I’m in for, and I understand he’s only like that because he’s in pain, not because he’s a mean cat. However, when he breaks out he needs a shot corticosteroid to stop the inflammation and calm his nerves. Vets, understandably, don’t want to deal with a violent cat and usually want to sedate him. The Vetco staff worked with me and I managed Calvin while they did the exam. Calvin was happier for it and it saved me the cost of sedation. They also had a lot of good insight that the previous vets I visited didn’t. Calvin has been to several Vets and racked up several hefty vet bills over that last several months, seemingly with no real plan to manage his symptoms. That changed when started going to Vetco. They’ve been the easiest to work with and they’ve been the cheapest by far.

We have been long time patients at this vet's office. We cross the bridge from Louisville bc we've always loved the convenience of booking online and the service we receive. Our last several visits have not gone well though. We have a bulldog with lifelong allergy issues. We've seen multiple vets over the years and have tried many different diets and medications. My husband and I have found what works best for our dog and is the most price efficient for us. The older lady vet just doesn't seem to care about owners' opinions. She is almost argumentative. We had our dog's allergies under control (or as under control as we've maybe ever had it) when she pushed the change what we were doing. I advocated for keeping what we were doing and she argued with me until I agreed. We set a 2 week recheck appointment to see if it improved and were told if it didn't we could discuss going back to what we were doing. Fast forward two weeks. She hasn't cleared up. She tells us this was clearly our fault because we really should have waited a month to let the medicine kick in before doing a recheck. She was argumentative and rude on this occasion as well. We set another appointment for a month (maybe 6 weeks) out for another recheck and we just don't plan on returning. Her condition is worse than before. She's miserable while we wait to see specialist. The vet here has been rude to us on the last three visits AT LEAST. We've spent thousands of dollars at this vet and are so disappointed (and really disgusted) with the attitude of the vet that has been servicing us. Old lady vet, if you're reading this, it is no pet owners' problem that you don't enjoy your job. Vet care is so expensive in a world where everything is so expensive. Have a little compassion. I don't write reviews often but wanted to share my family's experience so other owners that may need recurring care should perhaps seek a different provider.
