- MMMark MillerJun 19, 20262.0I was there on 6/19 ~1020am and I walked up to the register with 3 bags of dog food, there was someone standing with their back to me and I assumed it was a customer because she was on the other side of side of counter, as the bags got heavy I rested them on shelving next to me and as I did I made a little noise, the woman standing in front of me heard the noise and turned slightly and caught me in her peripheral vision but continued whatever she was doing, when another customer walked up and stood behind me the woman standing in front of me begrudgingly walked and stood behind a register, not a word was spoken to me and she had a miserable look on her face she only spoke a few words and those were mumbled she had such poor energy I felt she was being forced to work there. It’s a good thing you are the only pet shop within 10 miles…..wait there are a dozen? Great!!! Just a couple of suggestions so you don’t lose further business: 1: teach employees to be friendly, and to greet customers, at least act as if the customer is important and not an inconvenience. 2. Perhaps think about having employees wear something that indicates that they work there, the woman in my situation wore a pink shirt with nothing on the back and as she kept her back to me she wasn’t readably identifiable as an employee. I’m not talking about full blown uniforms, just a tshirt or such.
