The poor birds are clearly stressed

- SHSara HatterJul 26, 20261.0We use Petco grooming for both dogs and recently started using the Willowbrook location. We’ve taken our dogs here before without issue but today we were told that because our corgi will not stand for his bath that he is being “referred out”. He’s a corgi…. They typically will not stand for baths. Also he is older and does have arthritis in his back legs but is still very mobile. We received a call within ten minutes of dropping him off from manager Blue saying if he won’t stand for his bath then they can’t service him. We asked if we should turn around and pick him up and was told they would make an exception. Upon picking him up, Blue was not there but left in caps on our discharge paperwork “WILL NOT STAND FOR BATH, referred out”. So after inquiring with the staff more details as to what the expectation is going forward, basically if you have a dog with mobility issues, a senior dog, or simply a dog that is lazy like our Corgi- Blue has an issue servicing them and will basically ban your dog from this location. I think the dogs aren’t the only ones who need to touch some grass.
