    Avoid this location. So I walked into this location with my wife and 5 year old son. We were looking to get him his first pet: a hamster. He was extremely excited, and picked out a hamster. I asked this female associate if we can get the hamster and a displayed home setup for it. She responded, "I can't sell you this hamster with this cage." Confused, I asked how come? She replied, "This is not the appropriate size for this hamster, I am not going to sell this to you. I will show you what is the right size." Confused (the setup for the hamster was right next to the hamsters). Her demeanor was very rude. She did not greet us, educate us, but instead acted very bossy. Okay, maybe she cares? So she walks us over to glass aquariums and points us at what seemed to be a ~42" glass aquarium. I mean it was the size of my son's dresser in his room. I told her this won't fit on my son's dresser. We were hoping for something more suitable. She then told us that she will not sell us the hamster unless we purchased this GIANT glass aquarium. At this point, I wanted to get help with someone who was nicer and can respectfully provide us options. So I asked for the manager. The manager was in the same aisle, and overhearing the convo, she decided to add a comment "She would know more than me about buying for hamsters". Not helpful at all. Not even acknowledging the lack of help this female associate was clearly not providing. At this point, the female associated again iterated, "I can sell you the cage/set up but I won't sell you the hamster." I told her it made no sense that they had hamsters in small crammed glass homes, and they want me to purchase something so big. Moreover, she made us feel like we were looking to harm the hamster. I did not appreciate that. I can understand we didnt have the knowledge, but help us understand the requirements? We are all for animals being cared for properly and we were there to provide a loving household. The lack of proper direction with guidance would have led the interaction a different way. So, sensing the escalation, my wife decided to just take my son out of the store. The female associate was extremely rude and disrespectful. I told her I'd be calling Petco to ensure they receive a complaint about this interaction. She said that I can leave the store. I went to the manager and told her to have the district manager call me. Gave her information, never got a call. We went to Petsmart right in the same mall strip. AMAZING experience there. I will make sure I never step in this location.

    Gave instructions NOT to perfume the dog as it is nauseous to my wife. I didn’t notice it when I picked him up, but it came out, not as strong as previous visits, causing issues at home for a few days. There is still a hint of it 5 days later!!! Next time I schedule, I will ask if the perfume is part of the shampoo, as I will buy and furnish my own, if that’s the case. They did a nice job on the hair trim, but we are finding clumps of hair every morning on the carpet! We brushed him again and got a whole lot of undercoat (see pic) and find hair clumps on the carpet still the next day! I asked that they address a knot behind his ear and still found the knot when we brushed him two days after the bath, which we removed. (see pic) I will continue to use Petco, but will write my instructions out on paper next time and ask that they show me his profile in the computer system.
