  Had scheduled a appointment for a surgery, Called them to discuss details and specifically called out what the schedule was about and just a day before the surgery for my pet, they call to cancel. They do not have a track of notes or any conversations and squarely denied the treatment which was covered by the insurance plan. I had to run around and find alternative hospitals that could accommodate the surgery on schedule. I am sure the doctors and others working there are great and brought down by such lousy front desk staff.

  Honestly probably the worst place to go. This location does not know what they are doing. They give you the wrong information and don’t even apologize for it. I went there for my pregnant dog and was given false information about the puppy and unfortunately lost it. As I was there, they kept pressuring me into getting a wellness plan, which I did end up getting before I knew how bad they were. I refuse to go back here and decided to continue my plan at the gurnee location where they know what they are doing and have helped me understand what treatments and the next steps are for my dog.

  We’ve been going for 5 years now at Vernon hills location. We really appreciated the attention and care provided. Thank you to the whole team for helping our dog and cat feel safe and well cared for! Denis is extremely helpful and caring person. Thank you!

  The heavy lady checking pets in at the front desk with white hair isn’t made up of an ounce of sympathy. She yells out personal and sensitive information for all patrons around to hear. I’ve seen it towards others and finally experienced it today myself. I’ve had a Banfield plan for years and have had great experiences until I came to the Vernon Hills location. They also tell you to use the app to schedule, but then call you to cancel what you scheduled on the app because “the app doesn’t reflect the schedule accurately and your time is not available. We’ve known about this problem for months now.”

  My two girls are a 100 pound Great Dane & a 65 pound lab! Back in California we went to local vets. However, once we made the choice to move to IL & drove them to/from CA to IL (a few times over 6 months) we worried about how to get them help while traveling! I absolutely do not mind paying a reasonable price per month knowing that I can call up & get help for either one of them....thank you Banfield (of Vernon Hills) for being a part of MY needed tribe!!
