The staff did not seem knowledgeable about their own grooming policies. I was given conflicting information about what vet paperwork was required and there was obvious uncertainty among the groomers about what age they can accept new pets. Instead of clearly stating up front that they couldn’t see my pet due to age restrictions, I was left waiting and confused. As a customer, especially a new one, I expect clarity and professionalism. It’s disappointing to see a lack of training or communication on basic company policies. I would have appreciated honesty from the start rather than being strung along with mixed messages. **edit to reply* I understand the need for policies that prioritize pet safety. My issue isn’t with the policy itself, it’s with how poorly it was communicated. When I scheduled the appointment and arrived, I was given conflicting information by staff. I came prepared with my dog’s records, yet I was told different things about what was required, only to be contradicted again by the manager. If age and medical status automatically disqualify a dog, that should be made clear at the time of booking, not after I’ve shown up and spent my time trying to accommodate unclear requirements. I hope you’ll consider tightening up internal communication so others don’t have to deal with the same confusion.
