I would give no stars if i could! I made an appointment for my dog and they automatically canceled it on me because I didn't respond to text by noon. I didn't see it because I was actually in a doctor's appointment myself. I tried to call the clinic 3 times to explain and no one answered, left a message each time and still no call back from them

They are really going down in quality. I reported to staff that my dog who was just seen in the exam room had a flea jump on his head there that we noticed at the vet register. We didn't spend any time in the store area, and he was carried in. Mind you, he has been treated for fleas monthly and all year long since March. I also bathed and brushed him the day before we brought him into the vet for his checkup, and his skin was clear. It looked great, and I scrubbed with gloves that have brushes. Be careful. I called, and staff just got defensive. I told them they need to clean better in between patients, but of course she just made excuses. She made it seem like it's so unavoidable not to pass fleas to dogs in the exam room. Unacceptable. That is not healthcare, for humans or pets. I've never had that happen to us at any vet before ever because they cared enough to actually clean thoroughly. She said, they don't spray for fleas--okay, that is not the expectation. You are wiping furniture and surfaces with appropriate products and if something is missed or lacking with appropriate cleaning for fleas, maybe figure something else out, but people cannot be bothered. I can't imagine staff is paid well there, but it just gives me pause. This is a corporate sweatshop where they're trying to get animals in and out in charge as much money as possible by guilt tripping you about every stupid little thing that doesn't matter. The dog needs meds to stay alive. He is very elderly and lives with an illness. Of course, he is losing a little weight on his back end--he is ancient and his illness makes him nauseous and affects his appetite sometimes. Oh, but they want another full blood panel even though we just did one the last time, and we are soooooo awful if we say no. The minerals are fine, and some other issue is not going to change him needing that medicine to stay alive today and tomorrow. At some point, he will be too sick to keep living. That's how that works. He is an old boy. This isn't an endless piggy bank when quality of life hits a ceiling with old age. They just gotta have all your money all the time by giving you a hard time and trying to upcharge you with unnecessary and superfluous services, rather than doing what you're supposed to do with maintenance. It is just never enough. Someone always has to make billions and billions of dollars every year while they try to guilt trip you and make you seem like you're the irrational one. I wonder who gets their yearly bonus for acting like this.Seems like tons of places are just trying to take your money. It really defeats the purpose of any perceived package they advertise. It just seems predatory at this point, and I know they have your barrel because you need that medicine for him to survive. Can he just live out his golden years with some dignity, and we can just call it a day? No, we don't have to run a panel every time or put him on every medication known to man. At some point it will be time. We have been making him comfortable, and that is what we can do.

I had such a wonderful experience at Vetco Total Care in Shorewood with my dog, Apple. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They treated Apple with so much patience and kindness, which immediately made me feel comfortable leaving her in their care. Apple had her wellness exam, vaccinations, and nail trim, and the entire visit went smoothly. I especially appreciated how the staff communicated with me and made sure I understood everything regarding her care. They even called afterward to check on her, which really impressed me and showed that they truly care about their patients beyond the appointment. Finding a veterinary team that you trust with your fur babies is important, and I felt very comfortable with the care Apple received here. We will definitely be returning with Apple and my other dogs. I highly recommend the Shorewood Vetco Total Care team! 🐾❤️

They scheduled my appointment on a day they close. What kind of sense does that make. Extremely unprofessional with no warning or heads up. Absolutely wasted my time coming here when my puppy needs his shots and no workers there are of ANY help, clueless on what is going on with anything. Will most likely never come back here at this location ever again. If I can give absolutely no stars I would.
