- CVCarly ValvassoriApr 27, 20261.0I don't usually leave reviews like this, but I have to share my bizarre experience at this store. Yesterday (Sunday April 26), I went in to purchase food for my dog. The store was empty and an employee's cell phone was sitting next to the computer. I waited for a few minutes, thinking they were in the restroom, but no one came out of the back. I called "Hello! Hello! Excuse me!" several times, but no one answered. At this point, I became worried that someone may have been having some kind of medical emergency in the back. The back room is open at the ceiling to the front of the store, so someone should have heard me calling/opening the door. I ended up calling the Highland Park Police Department non-emergency line just to be safe and the police came in to see what was going on. They called me back and told me they found the employee sleeping in the back!! I'm glad they are ok, but wow! At this point, I still hadn't purchased the food my dog needs, so I came back today to get it. I arrived at the store at 3:20 and there was a post it on the door saying "Back at 3:30" and the door was locked. I'm not sure what's going on at this store, but it's definitely not being properly operated. Still need food for my dog, but sticking to ordering from the website from now on! PS - My dog loves the food :)
