- JDJML DJun 11, 20251.0This location is where I received the worst customer grooming service from Petco. The grooming manager named Imani, i am not sure how she became a manager in this store but shes the worst. Despite my busy schedule, i took time to take off from work to bring my loved small pup for bath and grooming in this location. Since its his first grooming in this location, I was only able to present a paper of when was the last rabies shot which is just less than a year from now but she did not accepted it as there is no expiry date. My pup has been groomed by Petco before in another location with his previous owner but she insisted they dont have my pups record. So I rescheduled online for late pm bath and groom same day while I get the rabies cert from my pup previous vet where she got the rabies shot last year. So I got the latest rabies shot paper cert from vet office which is not due yet and I presented this to Imani. She accepted this but rescheudled me again the next day even I am confirmed online as she cannot accomodate my pup that day anymore. I was already mad on what happened due to the time I spent going back and forth but I let it go and wait the next day. Since i have work the next day, i asked and paid someone to bring my pup to this location but i was told that Imani refused my pup again claiming that my pup is not comfortable with her after checking. This is not a work of a skilled groomer esp groomer manager. I was furious and called her as she wasted a lot of my time and felt like she discriminated my pup. This kind of groomer should not be a manager or even service dogs as customer service is terrible. The next day I went to Petsmart in Skokie and my pup was immediately bath and groomed properly without any issues. This is a terrible experience with this groomer and I will never ever go back in this Petco grooming service location again!
