  This is truly the best pet store in Chicago! I have been going here (and only here) for the last 9 years because the staff, location and services is the best in Chicago! I always have the best experience in this location and make the effort to always travel from wherever so I can receive their level of care. This is a Lakeview staple and I truly hope we continue to have it for many years to come.

  This Petco is extremely convenient as we have 7 pets who depend on them. We live in the city right by this store and we have no car, so it is very important to us that it’s so close, especially in the winter. We get our dog, Sammy groomed there and he always looks so good afterwards! We also take advantage of the rewards program, with as many pets as we have, it pays for itself! Recently, we have heard chatter about this location closing, which would not only be devastating to us, but also our many neighbors in the building who also frequent this location. If this is true, please, PLEASE reconsider closing this store. Everyone there is fabulous and we not only love to come here, we NEED to.

  Love this Petco, including all the staff, especially Nicole & Nora. Went to another chain store& will not go back as the staff was so disinterested. They are wonderful to have Forever Fortunate Felines in there. They have adopted out many kitties. Corporate Petco, please do not close the Halsted & Barry location!

  This Petco may potentially close and as loyal customers, we wanted to share our experience here. This is an excellent store with amazing service, always carrying the best product, and the employees have truly embedded themselves in the community here in Lakeview (know customers well, the grooming services are high quality, and everyone is friendly). Consider this a sign of encouragement as management evaluates their lease. This is a large, diverse, affluent, and pet-centric neighborhood in Chicago. It’s an ideal market for Petco and this store closing would be a significant loss. Thank you Petco!

  The staff at this location is the very reason I choose petco over other pet stores closer to home (including another petco). They’re welcoming, kind, and a wealth of knowledge. My dogs always love popping in for a sniff whether it’s for a quick pickup or for a full shopping trip. We’ve had a blast here throughout the years and it’s truly the employees there that make it so special. Thank you everyone at petco on Halsted! ❤️Maus & Otter
