  Vet never looked at my dog but somehow they was already eager to charge me over 600 and my dog only had constipation symptoms. Glad no one touched my dog. I'll be going to a place that shows concern. The money wouldnt have been the issue if I knew exactly what was going on. My money won't be used for a guessing game. I'll take him to some place else. Don't waste her time or money here

  I brought my cat in because she cracked her two front canine teeth. The vet told us she had pulp/nerve exposure and it was critical we got her surgery as soon as possible. When I asked multiple times over the phone and in person for a quote on extractions, they did not provide the information. I did research and no matter where I looked, the cost of those two teeth extractions in Chicago would be close to 2k (around 700-800$ per tooth). I have family down in Arkansas who have a family vet they trust and have had for 5 years. They've saved my family's pets lives from wild animal attacks. Serious surgeries, so well trusted vet. I road tripped down to Arkansas (AR) because the surgery there would cost about 500$ compared to 2k in Chicago. The vet in AR called me and said my cat only chipped the very tip of her teeth. She in fact had no pulp or nerve exposure. The vet emphasized that drilling the teeth out of her skull would be more traumatic than leaving her teeth that are sealed off well even with the tip cracked off. In the vet's own words "if this were my cat I would not put her through the surgery. Something else will take her life before her teeth do." The fact that the vet at this BondVet made "critical" medical notes and concerns for an immediate TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR SURGERY is insane and unethical. I feel scammed and that they were abusing their power for money grabs. I paid 300$ in Arkansas for a teeth cleaning for my cat and was told she is in great health with minimal tartar. Looking for a new vet. I don't trust BondVet's care, morals, or ethics for my fur babies anymore.

  Bond Vet isn't our regular veterinarian; however, Dr. Lam and Victoria made my dog's visit for diagnostic imaging as quick and stress free as possible. Yes, if you call you do have to speak to AI first, but it is easy enough to get a team member on the phone.

  We drove all the way from the suburbs into the city on Saturday because our dog, Huggy, needed urgent treatment for a ruptured anal gland abscess. While I’m grateful that he was able to be seen and treated, the experience afterward was extremely disappointing. Huggy was supposed to go home with two medications. When we got home, we discovered that one of the medication containers was empty. The other medication required refrigeration, but no one told us that when we were discharged. I didn’t notice the refrigeration instructions until hours later. When you’re leaving an urgent veterinary appointment worried about your dog, basic medication and storage instructions should be clearly communicated—not left for the owner to discover afterward. Huggy was also sent home with an e-collar that cost approximately $40, even though he physically cannot reach the affected area to lick it. I understand recommending precautions, but I would have appreciated someone determining whether it was actually necessary for him before charging me for it. Because of the medication issue, I then had to make another trip back into the city the very next day to get replacement antibiotics. I was initially told I would have to pay for one of the replacements at a discounted price. I refused because I should not have to pay to correct a medication dispensing or handling issue that occurred at the clinic. I also brought back the cone and asked to return it, but they would not refund it. Since it was Sunday, I was told that someone would contact me on Monday regarding my concerns. Monday came and went, and nobody contacted me. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only communication issue. Huggy has also been experiencing a runny nose, so I sent a question through their patient portal asking whether the antibiotics he was prescribed might also help with that. I never received a response to that message either. Mistakes can happen. What determines my opinion of a veterinary practice is how those mistakes are handled. Between receiving an empty medication, not being verbally informed that another medication needed refrigeration, having to make a second long trip to correct the medication issue, being asked to pay again, the issue with the cone, not receiving a response to a medical question submitted through the portal, and not receiving the promised Monday follow-up, I was left extremely disappointed with the level of communication and accountability. This was already a stressful situation involving our dog. I should not have had to spend the following day driving back into the city and advocating for problems that I did not create. A sincere apology, prompt communication, and proactive effort to make things right would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
