- JEJoanne EckardtJun 29, 20263.0We've used the Vetco clinic for years . This year the assistants were fabulous as they usually are but the vet was quite a disappointment. Our dogs are usually examined , temps taken , teeth looked at etc and we are asked about their daily routines, their temperament along with any concerns we have . This time the Vet (it was an older woman) didn't even greet us or our animals , didn't ask anything. We have 3 dogs , two large and one small. She just told us to hold them and she gave them the shots and walked away. So disappointed with this service and then it costed approximately $350 for them to just get their rabies & distemper. I don't if we will return , it may be time to try a different vaccine clinic for our pups.

Scheduling is easy and they have good availability as long as you book a few days to a week in advance. I'd bring a new puppy here over my regular vet for routine vaccines without hesitation.
- AYA YFeb 6, 20261.0I signed my dog up dog up for swimming lessons and needed to get a couple more vaccines. My amazing vet of over 10 years was booked. I found out that Vetco inside the Algonquin Petco offered vaccines that day. I signed up, excited that would be able to go swimming in a few days. It was very confusing where the vaccines were taken place. I finally found my way to the back of the store. The veterinary assistant named Rosolyn was assisting a client. And than seemed to be finished. I walked up to her and she rudely replied she was busy. I waited, got the vaccines and continued my shopping. Petco had a great selection of clothes and toys! When I went up to the cashier, I placed my items on the counter, was greeted by a fabulous petco employee. Lots of positive energy and very helpful. I was searching through my items for the tiny little coupons they give you as proof of an item/vaccines. I couldn't find them. The petco associate was able to find a coupon and he rang up the vaccines. About an hour after I left the store I get multiple harassing txt and calls from an 815 number. I look at the messages and the voice-mails and its Rosolyn accussing me of stealing vaccines! She than went on to tell me that the Petco had NO WAY to ring up the coupons.Really? I sent her the proof. She would need to talk to all the employees and managers. Also stating that the petco manager on duty said "she had her own idea of what happened." Apparently the coupons had fallen out of my hands (i was shopping!) She accussed me of stealling, called and harrassed me from an unknown/non petco number and told me I was I banned from all Vetcos. I said I would send her a picture of the receipt as I am sure the associates name would be on there to help clear things up. This woman should not be working here. I am tempted to file a police report as her behavior was extremely rude and honestly scary. Please follow up with this matter. I am very disappointed that my dogs health now feels jeopardize.
- CRCynthia RyanJan 1, 20244.0Vetco charge 5.99 for the disposal fee, after giving my dog a shot. That’s criminal. They dispense all syringes in a single container, I watched. I believe a class action suit should be filed against them. It’s another way to take advantage of the customers.
