I have taken my dog to this boarding facility more than once, and in previous encounters I didn’t have any complaints. I have seriously debated on writing this review - however, for the sake of my senior dog and for others I feel compelled to speak up.
I’m not sure what has changed, but I picked up my 10 year old German shepherd from boarding after the holiday weekend and was seriously dissatisfied. Not only did my dog come home with his legs, butt, and stomach/chest spotted with feces; but he was also not given his medications for 2/3 days that he spent there. I always provide exactly how much of his pills he will need for the stay so that I can make sure the rest of his pills are not displaced or lost. So when he was returned to me with 2/3 days worth of his medication - I know he was not given what they were instructed and paid extra for to provide him.
For me, it’s not about the cost for the additional service of providing medications. I don’t care about a refund. It’s the fact that my senior dog was not cared for the way I expected him to be and my dog mama heart is broken. It’s already difficult to trust others to care for a senior dog who has medications, and unfortunately, only takes one time of receiving subpar care for that trust to be broken.

My dog always came back with cuts and infections or kennel cough. 3 out of 3 times I kept him there he came back with something. It's not worth it, just hire someone to stay at your house.
If you scroll down to Olivia's post the infection/cut on the dogs nose seems to be a common thing that happens to the dogs who stay here. Mine came back looking exactly like that too.

We had a terrible place we previously went to. But two years ago we started with Gem Crest. Our chiwawa was traumatized at the dive joint before. He still hates to have a collar put on and to ride in any vehicle.
Barrett and David are awesome, and take more time and let Peanutz get comfortable before starting. No dogs in kennels barking and howling in the same room as service is provided. Every time he goes he gets better and easier to handle.
For long term boarding and all grooming...you have to try Gem Crest Kennels.
Just picked our doodle up and was coughing really bad. They said they didn't notice which I find to be impossible. He has kennel cough and was up to date on his shots.. Now I have vet bills and a sick dog. Also this is the 2nd time he has come back being sick and having is nose rubbed raw. Never again!!
