Our dog stayed there 8 days last month. When we came to pick her up, they brought us the wrong dog. We had to go back into the kennel area to find her for them at which time I noticed her pail of water which was milky colored. When I asked for her canned food that I provided for giving her antibiotics, we found that none of her antibiotics had been given to her. This could have cost her her life! On the second day after returning home she developed a cough which the vet diagnosed as kennel cough. When I informed the manager of this she offered me a 20% off her next stay. No thank you. I won’t take the chance of her getting this poor of care again.

They are very unorganized. They never know what’s going on. It takes forever to pick up your dog. You can’t book online. The facility is also very dirty. Do not recommend.

We love Gem Crest! We board our dogs when needed, which admittedly isn’t very often, but it’s always a great experience! Very reasonably priced and they take great care of our dogs. We get our big dog groomed about every month with David, and he does an incredible job! Once again, very reasonably priced compared to other groomers in the area. You can tell he really cares about the dogs he works on. We just adopted a new puppy, so we will also be bringing him once he’s old enough!

We have been using Gemcrest for years but recent stays have been very disappointing! My dog came back with two cut front legs this time and hyper like a cricket on steroids! I’m assuming he didn’t get out of his kennel like he always did and tried to escape under gate of kennel? Not sure but he definitely didn’t get the attention she has always had before . I always 100%request olaytimes so what happened? No one said a thing and they owed us money and planned to keep the rest til next time instead of returning it to us ? We requested it the next day and they did return it but where are the old employees that knew my dog? Something has changed and my animals aren’t happy when I pick them up. A question that didn’t get answered sadly!

I have taken my dog to this boarding facility more than once, and in previous encounters I didn’t have any complaints. I have seriously debated on writing this review - however, for the sake of my senior dog and for others I feel compelled to speak up. I’m not sure what has changed, but I picked up my 10 year old German shepherd from boarding after the holiday weekend and was seriously dissatisfied. Not only did my dog come home with his legs, butt, and stomach/chest spotted with feces; but he was also not given his medications for 2/3 days that he spent there. I always provide exactly how much of his pills he will need for the stay so that I can make sure the rest of his pills are not displaced or lost. So when he was returned to me with 2/3 days worth of his medication - I know he was not given what they were instructed and paid extra for to provide him. For me, it’s not about the cost for the additional service of providing medications. I don’t care about a refund. It’s the fact that my senior dog was not cared for the way I expected him to be and my dog mama heart is broken. It’s already difficult to trust others to care for a senior dog who has medications, and unfortunately, only takes one time of receiving subpar care for that trust to be broken.
