  I have visited this store twice and both times my existence was not acknowledged despite there being people at the registers doing nothing. If you go into this store you better know what you need and know where it is located because staff will not be of any help whatsoever in fact they will speed walk away from you and try to look like they have something important to to do. When I finally found help I was treated like it was an inconvenience to be helped. For that kind of experience I will be shopping online from a different company from now on. Godspeed if you do end up going in there I hope you have a better experience than me.

  So I already hate Petco, literally doesnt matter the town it always sucks and unfortunately for me, Mason city only has a Petco and no pet smart. I went in yesterday 6/12/26 and bought 2 30 count of super worms. I get home and I can only find 5 worms total, in both containers and mostly dead. And they look like meal worms not super worms. They are so small. Not even 30 worms in either container. This isn't the first time either, but this is the worst I've seen. Go to Walmart which is literally across the street and you can get 30 actual super worms for cheaper and they're not all dead and bigger in size

  They had what we wanted but no one to check out or help. Had to go find person who informed us he was on break. Not so helpful or friendly sorry

  We purchased a scorpion today. When we got to the car and got a better look at him we noticed he had a chelicera missing. When we went back in we were told they couldn’t do anything for us because they were closing and to come back tomorrow. I explained we live nearly 2 hours away and could not come back the next day. They still said they couldn’t do anything and to call the next day. Tomorrow happens to be Memorial Day and we don’t know if they will even be open. Regardless, I spent a lot of money on an injured pet. Very disappointed in this business and the help I received
