  Great store. Less items than the hilo store. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful when asked. They do appointments for grooming.

  I use Petco Autoship to order food for my 3 cats. I find it so convenient to use this feature and get a discount and free shipping. I like the ease of changing delivery dates if I need to. I am very happy with Petco.

  I went to buy food for my dog, and since it wasn't in the usual spot in the store, I had to order it online, where the system indicated it was in stock. I ran into a store employee and asked her just to confirm they had it, so I wouldn't have to drive two hours (my only other option, since there are only two Petco stores here in Kona). However, the employee gave me a terrible attitude and rudely told me that if it wasn't on the shelves, they didn't have it. I told her I had already placed an online order that was supposed to be ready in two hours, and she said I shouldn't have placed the order since the item wasn't on the store shelves. I asked her if she could please check the store's stockroom, but she answered very angrily, saying no—and insisting that if I didn't see it on the shelves, it meant they didn't have it. Later, I went to a cashier to pay for another item I needed, and I told her what had happened with the other employee; she apologized profusely but explained that the person who had given me such a hard time was actually her manager. anyways, on the end, my food was available after two hours, but my my point is that she was a liar, and she didn’t deserve to be a store manager. she lies to me telling me that there wasn’t no more food for my doggy at the store, she didn’t care if I was gonna have to drive all the way to Hilo to purchase my doggy food, I can't believe they have such a rude person as a manager, I’ve been shopping at this store for more than eight years and have never been treated this poorly. I am very disappointed of the customer service, especially coming from the Store manager.
