  This clinic made my sweet cats passing a traumatic experience for us. Use this message as a caution before taking your pet here and ESPECIALLY if you are considering taking your pet here for a euthanasia as a last resort. Our cat’s health declined rapidly within 2 weeks, we found she had a heart tumor and her lungs were filling with fluid and she had to be euthanized within a few days. We scheduled her euthanasia at our usual clinic a few days out but then noticed her breathing was getting worse so we made the tough descision to schedule a euthanasia that same day (a day our clinic was unfortunately closed) so that she wouldn’t have to suffer. Transporting her to the hospital was hard enough but the lack of empathy from the technicians made everything all the worse for us and our family who were on the phone because they were abroad and couldn’t be there in person. They took so long to explain the vast payment options and didn’t pay attention to the cat’s signs of suffering like starting to lie her head down (we had never seen her do that before so we knew it was near the end) we pleaded with them to please hurry but instead of bringing a scale and catheter to the room that we were in they took her limp body to the back as was their “policy” (even after pleading with them to send someone to the back with her because she fights when scared unless her mom is there, they still refused are request). Our cat never came back to us… the strain and stress they put her through in the back killed her. We accepted and understood that we were going to lose our girl. All we wanted was to have her die in the embrace of her family that loved her. Instead she died alone and afraid struggling with strangers who didn’t care. This clinic stole our final goodbyes. They walked back into the room with her dead body rather than with the doctor. We are so heartbroken. We miss our sweet girl and we don’t want anyone to have to go through this miserable experience EVER. I’m sorry if this is lengthy but I need to get all my thoughts out there and do something right by my sweet girls unjust passing.

  Why are you charging people for wellness plans after their pets have died? THAT IS DESPICABLE! I write this as a warning to everyone who might be considering purchasing a wellness plan from Banfield. DON’T DO IT

  Banfield Pet Hospital has consistently provided compassionate, professional care, and every visit has been a positive experience. The staff is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and genuinely caring—not only toward my dogs, but toward me as well. Whenever I come in feeling anxious or concerned about one of my pets, they take the time to listen, answer my questions, and provide reassurance, making what could be a stressful experience feel much more manageable. I also appreciate that their pricing is quite reasonable, especially considering how expensive veterinary care can often be. They deliver quality care without making you feel overwhelmed by the cost, which is something every pet owner values. Knowing my dogs are in the hands of a team that is both knowledgeable and compassionate gives me tremendous peace of mind. I highly recommend Banfield Pet Hospital to anyone looking for veterinary care that combines professionalism, empathy, and excellent value.
