  Ive been taking my dog to Heart of Suwanee for 10+ years. She's 16 with Congestive Heart Failure. I feel like they dismissed me when I brought up her persistent coughing so she went without a diagnosis for a couple of months. When she started wheezing and coughing I took her back in for another assessment and they diagnosed her with Heart failure. They took her to the back room and tried to take an x-ray of her chest. Apparently, she fainted and was turning blue from lack of oxygen so they had to put her in their oxygen cage. I had 4 hours to find an oxygen tank and oxygen cage for her. I was scrambling to call medical suppliers trying to find something I could afford while Heart of Suwanee called me multiple times to remind me I had to take my oxygen deprived dog before they closed. I was able to find an oxygenator for $800 and used a storage box as a temporary cage. I showed the oxygenated to the Dr and asked if it was the right kind but they rushed me out the door with my dog and told me I had to put down my dog in the next 24 hours. My boyfriend is a trained nurse and has worked at a veterinary clinic. He told me my dog's quality of life was fine and she would need to be medicated for the rest of her life. Which I understand because she's 16. I left and switched my pets to Chewy Vet and they were able to prescribe me the proper medication to manage my dog's symptoms. She does not cough anymore and has more energy. Truly have no idea why Heart of Suwanee told me to kill my dog instead of medicating her properly

  Dr. Sanders saved my dog and the grooming is perfect. Everyone here is family to my dogs. Forget the franchise vets and see these local heroes instead.

  I really liked the vet and was hopeful my girl would have a new team to help. Sadly this wasn’t the case. My dog was put on a medication from her previous vet. The vet here said I should continue the medication with her. When her prescription ran out, I got in touch and asked if they could refill it. I was told no they don’t have it in that amount. They suggested I reach out to my old vet to get it refilled. The problem here is that by telling me that you clearly do not care about keeping me as a patient. I’m not going to take my dog to 2 vets! And by offering me no other solution, they were basically saying just go back. And when I reached out asking if I was correct that I would never be able to get her medication filled from them, I received a one word response- correct. No options or trying to help, or asking me to come back in and discuss this with the vet. Just the word “correct” (see pic below for the email they sent) I’m sorry that they feel this way because I was really hoping this would work for us. I wanted a smaller vet practice to be slightly more personal and I’m willing to pay more for it. But apparently they do not need new patients. So be careful when choosing this practice. If you ever have an issue, they may not want to help. Update- even the response to the review isn’t accurate! I didn’t have a frustrating visit. I enjoyed the visit. My frustration came AFTER the visit. This was clearly a stock response to bad reviews. Wow.
