  They do a fantastic job here with our super anxious Shih Tzu and wild mini dachshund. My pups always look great and are super happy when we leave.

  I received a disturbing phone call from the Petco store manager regarding my complaint. Instead of listening, showing concern, and fairly reviewing the evidence, he was sarcastic, insensitive, and dismissive. My dog had no open wound when I dropped her off, yet she was returned to me with a nicked, bleeding area on her back. Petco would not knowingly groom an animal with an open wound without documenting it. I submitted photographs, but the manager simply accepted Savannah’s denial instead of properly investigating. Her denial does not erase the physical evidence. The service was also incomplete. I requested ear plucking, but it was not done because the staff failed to enter it into the notes. I also waited hours without a call. The manager blamed my SMS settings, but if a text cannot be delivered, someone can pick up the telephone. The manager previously claimed he did not get involved with grooming, yet he became involved to defend his staff. He even told me that “no one wants to service” me. I was treated like the problem simply for asking why my dog was injured, why the service was incomplete, and why no one called. The proper response should have been a sincere apology and a full refund without making me ask. The manager, Joyce, and the grooming staff need customer-service and conflict-resolution training. As a Black, educated woman, I am also left wondering whether I would have been treated this dismissively if I were white. I will not return. My dog deserved safe care, and I deserved honesty, respect, accountability, and reimbursement.

  Peter does a wonderful job grooming my poodle, Dash. Dash can be a handful of excited energy but Peter knows how to make it work.

  Prior to Covid we would use self service for bathing our German Shepherd. Since then, the techs have been doing this. Our GSD is now 11 years old. The team takes very good care of her. I think she’s better for them than when we were bathing her.
