  We don't shop at this store normally because I live across town but it was the best one I've ever been to. The employees were friendly and helpful and the store had a good selection and a good layout. The parking lot is strange and the neighboring Publix remodel doesn't help hence the 4 stars.

  As franchise pet stores decline in quality under withering competition from the Internet (Chewy) and each other; Petco at Woodlawn maintains good prices and quality. Their clearance items are exceptionally good. Kevin, Courtney, Ashley, and their groomer are all lovely. The fish are healthy, and the selection is good, tanks are typically full, and they have a decent selection of reptiles that are well cared for. I think this is a great example of what a pet shop in East COBB should be like.

  It’s not until I come to this location, but I remember why we choose to not come to this location. We came with a simple need to buy three feeder goldfish. It took five minutes to even see an employee, at which point they said they would come and help us. Six minutes later before they were able to come and help. This is not the fault of that individual employee, as they were the only one here, and that is almost always the case. There were at least six different people who could not check out because there was no employee. Some of those people left rather than continue to wait. If you actually need pet supplies, please go to any other pet store.

  This is my neighborhood store and I love that I can go in anytime and get anything I need. I interacted with 2 staff members, one who helped me pick out cat food and the other that checked me out at the register and they both were very polite, helpful, and super nice.

  I exchaged a bag of food that the dog would not eat (formula change?) even though, I have been buying the same food for years. I exchanged for the same brand, same size of bag, same price, but a different formulation. I purchased the initial bag on sale, and I had to pay the difference because the store would not honor the online price even though it continued to be on sale. I do not blame Petco for the formula change or for the dog not liking the food. But I should not have to pay the difference. At least the took the food back
