Always a great experience at PETCO. Milo and I love going to pick up food or grooming. Everyone is welcoming and knowledgeable. It is quite convenient to order online and pick up in store or have delivered!

Today my daughters and I took my granddaughter into Petco to by a guinea pig for her 6th birthday. We encountered a young lady sweeping the floor by the guinea pigs and I asked if the guinea pig in the big cage was the only one they had. She advised me no, there were more around her. So we went around and my granddaughter picked out one of the guinea pigs. I informed the lady we would like to purchase the guinea pig and the first thing she asked me was "do you have a set up at home already" I explained to her yes and then she wanted me to continue describing size etc and she tells me she needs to see it. Yes, now I'm getting aggravated. So she proceeds to tell me not only do I have to show her a picture of my cage, but I have to buy two guinea pigs not just one. I had no idea that they liked to be in pairs, nor was there anything posted stating I had to purchase 2 or none. I tell my granddaughter to pick out a second one and she tells me she's not going to sell me guinea pigs if I'm going to have an attitude with her. Now I'm really losing my patience. I ask politely to speak to the manager and she tells me that she is the manager. I told her I would go ahead and take 2 guinea pigs then and then she proceeded to tell me she would not sell me any guinea pigs until I showed her a picture of the cage I had at home (she had me so upset with her attitude I didn't think to pull up the picture on Amazon where I purchased it) She was extremely rude, talking to me like I was a child trying to buy a guinea pig, not a 48 year old adult. She was very demeaning in her comments and tone. Yes, I told her she sucked as a manager (as the way she was speaking to me and the things she was saying were definitely not how a manager should be talking to a customer) She then proceeded to tell me I sucked as a customer. I told my older daughter to call PetSmart and ask them what I would need to purchase guinea pigs there. The manager continued to run her mouth like a disgruntled angry teenager. So yes, now I'm super angry and I called her a name using profanity. Was I wrong yes.. Should I have? No. As I was heading to the front of the store, she continued running her mouth about how she was calling PetSmart and telling them not to see guinea pigs to me. I told the gentleman at the counter what his manager had just said to me and I asked him for the phone number to the general manager and he told me that he didn't have it so I asked for any number to Petco that I could call to file a complaint and he again proceeded to tell me he did not have one. His manager was standing behind the shelf at checkout telling me to get out of her store and have a nice day and she would be calling PetSmart. The gentleman comes out from behind the counter while all of this is going on and gets in front of me trying to be intimidating. I don't know where this manager got her training or where this employee got his training but Petco should be ashamed of the people they have hired to represent them. I will make sure everyone I know never shops at Petco again, let alone the Petco on Dallas Highway.
Thank you to the Pet Supermarket manager, who despite getting a call from the manager at Petco telling her not to sell me guinea pigs, took the time to educate me on guinea pigs and everything they need including size of cage etc. My 6 year old who thought she was getting a guinea pig came home with 2 and she couldn't be happier. Thank you to the store manager at Pet Supermarket. That is what customer service is about!

Outrageous prices... I went in to buy a medicated soap for my puppy 🐶 they have it priced for $18 looked in the Walmart app found it for $7.97 the same exact brand and size 🙃

I had such a great experience at Petco thanks to Kennedy and Emma.
Kennedy was amazing with my kids. She really took her time showing them all the different pets and made it such a fun and educational experience. They were especially excited about the reptiles, and she explained everything in a way they could understand and enjoy. You can tell she genuinely cares. She was patient, kind, and made my kids feel comfortable asking questions.
Emma was just as great. She was very informative and took the time to walk me through the best options for what I needed. I never felt rushed, and she made sure I understood everything clearly. She was also really engaging with my kids, answering all their questions and helping them learn more about the fish, which they loved.
Both of them went above and beyond, and it really shows how much they care about their work and the people they help. I truly appreciate the time they gave us. It was easily a five star experience and I will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I have been looking for Petco, not knowing one was right down the road. The store was clean, employees were nice and Emma was so kind and helpful with us purchasing my first snake and a Pac-Man frog. She gave us tips on setting up tanks, feeding, and anything else we could think of all while entertaining our toddler haha! We will definitely be back!
