- AQAndres QueipoMay 4, 20261.0I had a very disappointing experience at this pet store. The person in charge of the fish section clearly lacks proper knowledge about aquatic care and gave me misleading information. As a result, I ended up with incorrect guidance that affected my setup. When you’re dealing with live animals, especially fish, accuracy and honesty matter. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. I would strongly recommend that the store invests in better training for their staff or assigns someone with real experience in aquarium care.

I went in to buy a pair of Molly Pandas, and the person in charge of the aquariums was incredibly condescending. He questioned my 15 years of experience and even tried to take the fish out of my hands with a dominant, arrogant attitude, claiming they wouldn’t last 24 hours. Well, they are perfectly healthy, proving his 'expertise' wrong. The most disappointing part was returning the next day only to have him lie to my face, claiming the fish were 'sick' just so he wouldn’t have to sell me anything out of spite. Even after speaking with the manager, nothing was resolved; she chose to side with his unprofessionalism. They made me feel humiliated over a $4 purchase, as if my business and my knowledge meant nothing to them. A note to management: If you want to see what actual customer service looks like, go to Petsmart. They treated me with respect, helped me with everything I needed, and actually valued my visit. It seems Petco prefers feeding their employees' pride over taking care of their customers. I will never set foot in this location again."
